The Ping G5 irons each feature a deep cavity back and extended perimeter weighting for maximum forgiveness. The wider soles and thinner Custom Tuning Ports (CTP) allows for a high, penetrating trajectory with a responsive feel on any solidly struck shot.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

  • The expanded surface area covered by the larger Custom Tuning Port (CTP) stabilizes the face for more consistent feel and performance at impact.
  • The wider sole allows the center of gravity to be lower and deeper, creating a higher launch and more forgiveness.
  • Two uniform cavities re-distributes weight the clubhead's extremes to maximize forgiveness.

Very Impressed

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

I ordered a set of G5 irons (4-PW) specifically looking for a longer than std lengt, 0.75. My future Son-in-law is 6'-4ish" and everyone in my family plays golf. I wanted to get him a decent set so when they visit he will have clubs that relatively fit him. So I ordered a set that was rated "Very Good" and WOW, after a little amount of cleaning the cavity backs, they look fantastic. Don't know how they will work for him, but to get a set that retailed new for $1K that cost me $240, and good grips and hardly no marks even on the shafts, I will look to do business again with Global Golf.
