Description

The PING iBlade iron is precision cast using 431 stainless steel which offers a high strength to weight ratio and the purest and softest feel Ping engineers have ever achieved. The head design of the iBlade irons features a thinner top rail, minimal offset and delivers the workability and trajectory control that better players demand. A thinner face design provides faster ball speeds and the milled tour-spec grooves and precision-machined fly-cut face yields greater distance and precise control with every shot. The lengths and lofts are optimized to increase distance with proper gapping which results in a player’s style iron with a high MOI and a clean look.

Features

  • 431 Stainless Steel Head with Tungsten Toe Weight
  • Nearly "pure" tungsten weights are pressed into the toe of every head to increase the MOI.
  • Thinner top rail, minimal offset and thinner face design provides faster ball speeds
  • Compact head design delivers Maximum Workability and Low trajectory
  • Very high MOI for an iron its size

Best Irons I've Ever Had
By Pow Pow on 1/11/2019

I got standard loft with NS pro modus 105 X shafts. I've been playing blades or forged cavity backs with Dynamic Gold s300 shafts since 2001 (Hogans, Rac TP 2005, and Titleist CB). Played about four rounds with these and feel confident in saying they are better for me than any of the others. I can still work it both ways, but misses or overcooks have limited effect. They are closer to intended distance and have less side spin respectively. Standard loft (which mine are) on the iBlades are 1/2 club stronger, but because of the high launch I guess, the yardages are not 1/2 club longer (comparable, maybe 2-3 yards not 6-8). The black dot wedge has the same lie angle as my last set's wedge which had "standard" lie angles, but the iBlade 4-ron is .8 degrees more upright (the increase is graduated through the set). That seems to help keeping long iron shots straighter or make a draw a touch easier (i.e., the bale out slice is harder to hit). Last, these irons have great technology upgrades but the minimal look is just badass awesome.

Technology / Specs

PING iBlade irons, the ultimate player’s iron in PING’s lineup, combines soft feel, forgiveness, and playability to produce consistent shot making.

Buttery Feel

The PING iBlade irons get their soft feel from 2 things. First, PING uses a soft 431 stainless steel to construct the head.

Secondly, behind the face is a large, elastomer-filled cavity insert. The insert reduces vibrations on shots hit across the face, boosting feel.

High Speed Performance

The iBlade irons have a thin face that produces faster ball speeds that launch high.

Forgiveness

Tungsten weight in the toe of the iBlade irons increase the club’s forgiveness. According to PING, the iBlades have 70% more tungsten than the prior generation S55 iron.

Shot Making Ability

Better bounce and heel relief merge to create a new sole design that helps you shape shots better. The sole design also interacts with the turf better to deliver consistent distances.

These are your Utry selections. Only Utry eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our Utry golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club or $100 an iron set. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. Utry lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club or 1 iron set for $100.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

Utry gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
