Description

The Callaway Big Bertha Combo irons are build with 360 face cup technology which generates ball speed across the face through VFT and with maximum CT bringing incredible distance. The result is these clubs can make you 2 clubs longer. The long irons in this set are replaced with easy to hot Big Bertha Hybrids.

Features

  • 360 Face Cup Technology - If you want to know what makes “2 clubs longer” distance possible this is it. The cup technology generates BALL SPEED (in all caps) across the face through a VFT and with maximum CG.
  • Internal Standing Wave - The CG is low and forgiving, and by doing this we can offer up the full package of high MOI for maximum forgiveness and ball speed.
  • Performance Construction - The hollow body construction is all about maximum performance, and the type of ball speed you see off the center of the face, you’ll get that all over the face now.

Just didn't work out for me

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Left Hand

Been a Callaway follower for several years; thought I would get the latest; greatest an see how they would perform. I read all the reviews; but as reviews go..it is all up to the individual golfer. I'm very glad that other's have seen a great increase in their golf game; but for me...that just did not happen. I had them on the course all day long; and it was like I was hitting a rock; I felt it all the way through my hands/wrists. Using my same swing; they just felt out of sink for me. They were under the 30 day playability, so these clubs went back so some one else might benefit far better than I did. Callawy makes great products; I have other sets that I swing the same way; no problems with them. Just never met my expectations.

Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

Had a set of original Big Berthas I inherited, but the stiff shaft on them was a bit too stiff for my aging swing. So I updated with a set of the 2015 BB clubs with a senior flex...the difference was night and day from the first round I played. The new clubs feel good on off center hits, and great when hit on the sweet spot. I have found the clubs to be very forgiving, and, at least for me, longer than their predecessors. I especially like the loft/lie adjustable hybrids, which allow me for the first time to hit a longer club from tight lies. I can still manage to miss an occasional shot with them, but not nearly as often as I used to. The more flexible shafts match up well with my swing speed, providing with ease the height and distance I struggled to achieve with the older stiff shafted clubs. For me, these new Big Berthas are a great fit and make the game much more enjoyable by usually making the the little white ball go where I intend it to go.
