The Callaway X-24 Hot irons are the longest, most accurate X-Series iron that Callaway has produced to date. It features Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology which provides a hotter club face with an increased sweet spot, resulting in faster ball speeds across the entire face, even on miss-hits. It also features Precision Notch Weighting which adds discretionary weight to the perimeter of the club for improved accuracy, as well as a lower, deeper center of gravity for optimal trajectory. Its dark PVD finish eliminates glare and frames the ball nicely at address.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

Callaway always seems more expensive than similar iron sets---are they inherently better--or just costlier--for higher handicaps?
asked by John S. on 12/31/2016
Callaway is one of the top brands in golf and will generally cost very similar to the other top brands in a similar set. Generally speaking, the materials used and quality control is better compared to less expensive sets which is why they are typically more expensive.

X-24 HOT Lives up to its name
By Jimvandy on 3/31/2011

After a long search for a new set of irons, I chose the Callaway X-24 Hot Irons and couldn't be happier. I had been able to try many different irons at the facility where I take lessons and always returned to the X-24's. I was delighted that the results of an in-depth club fitting gave me the same results: the X-24 was the club for me.
I have gained distance that I have lost over the years and my off-center hits (especially towards the toe) seem to carry much farther than I would expect. Luckily, well-struck shots seem to come in bunches now, and the feel is terrific. I have no trouble curving the ball left or right when necessary. In short, don't buy these clubs because I like them, but you owe it to yourself to include the X-24 Callaway Irons in any testing that you do before buying a new set.

Great Open Box deal, great club

Got a great deal on these clubs. Had them out to the range today and while they didn't miraculously fix my swing problems, the off center shots went straighter and farther (full disclosure, this is the first set of clubs I had **** after purchasing). My only complaint, and it is a minor one, is that I could TELL where those off center shots were as the finish on the face of the club wears pretty much immediately. Can't wait to get these out on the course this weekend to see how they fair in the "real world".

X-24 SW,PW club face small

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

I received the X-24 irons and was disappointed to find the club faces on the PW and SW were too small. Also, I returned the iron set for this reason and asked to email me pictures of another set of Taylormade clubs which Global Golf doesn't do for their customers.

Saw these in the used section,so i traded my old irons for these. They were in great shape and hit about 10 yrs. longer than my old ones. Good price, new grips plus trade in all adds up to money saved and a happy custome.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
