Description

The Callaway Great Big Bertha Tungsten Ti irons feature titanium heads for incredible distance and tungsten inserts in the soles for optimal trajectory. Each iron has a deep cavity back with a patented back channel that creates more stability in the head. This promotes accuracy and produces a solid feel.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

Amazing irons from 1997
By Ed in NM on 5/12/2017

Callaway must have been ahead of their time in knowing how to design irons 20 years ago that are as playable and forgiving as the best max game improvement irons that are available today. The titanium iron heads are large compared to typical steel iron heads, which gives a sense of confidence against mis-hits. The tungsten inserts in the soles seem to be very effective in making these irons easy to hit to get the ball airborne. It's amazing that an iron design from 20 years ago is still competitive with the most recent max game improvement irons.
