Description

The Mizuno MP-5 iron set is the ultimate blend of a classic muscle back and a players cavity design. The new Channel Back design is a way of distributing the weight around the club head to allow for increased forgiveness while still maintaining feel and look of a traditional muscle back. The MP-5 is grain flow forged from a single billet of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon steel for a soft, solid and consistent feel. Mizuno uses its scientific Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T.) to fine tune the sound and feel of every iron.

I switched from the MP-4 to the MP-5 this summer and I love them. Not a huge distance difference, but for me, definitely an accuracy difference.

Just amazing! Instant wow factor!!! They look amazing, feel amazing, and are good looking! More so the best looking. The channel back actually seems to take a little of the sting out on a miss-hit. But playing these you'll be at your highest concentration level not to miss-hit the ball! #nothingfeelslikeamizuno

Took some time adjusting to flatter lie angle than my previous set. Feels great and beautiful design. Not as hard to hit as you think, but not the most forgiving.

Technology / Specs

The Mizuno MP-5 irons are paving the way for muscle back designs. This iron set is a geometric blend of the classic muscle back and modern elements of a cavity back. The iron set is forged from a single piece of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon steel to provide a soft and solid feel.

The Channel Back design is a new way of thinking and distributes the weight throughout the clubhead for an increased level of forgiveness that before this design was unimaginable. Although the weight has been moved around, the traditional soft feel has been maintained, as well as the look and control that traditional muscle back irons provide.

The Mizuno MP-5 irons are available in three through pitching wedge. While there are numerous custom shafts to choose from, the MP-5 irons will feature the True Temper Dynamic Gold as the stock shaft.
