Description

The Mizuno JPX-850 forged iron set feature a new, thinner face that is strategically reinforced by a Power Frame cavity which places weight to the extreme corners of the club head for maximum forgiveness along with increased distance. Mizuno’s new BORON material is 30% stronger than traditional 1025E steel billets which allows for a thinner face and extreme ball speeds. The result is an incredible iron that combines Grain Flow Forged precision and feel with shocking distance. A combination that was unachievable before BORON.

Q
The only specs I have found for the kbs tour 110 shaft indicate it is stiff flex, not regular flex. Can you confirm the exact shaft in these clubs and what flex it is rated? Thank you.
asked by Scott W. on 3/11/2016
A
These clubs are regular flex. KBS makes different shaft flexes in the KBS Tour. The "regular" flex KBS tour weighs 110 grams. http://kbsgolfshafts.com/shafts/kbs-tour

Q
Yes I wanted to know if you have any pics of grips and the wear on heads of these clubs. Is price firm. ? Thanks
asked by Eric C. on 12/2/2016
A
We do not have the ability to provide actual pictures as we ship from multiple locations and could have more than one of the same item. Our shipping department will simply pick the item on top and process the shipment. All of the iron sets are pre-boxed as well. The clubs will come with a playable grip. Great clubs, consistent distances!

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

The JPX 850 Forged was exactly what I was looking for in a forged iron with forgiveness and work-ability. The cavity slot built into the longer irons make them easy to hit and the feel is amazing. The scoring clubs have all the work-ability you would want with a great feel around the greens. They are not as forgiving as the Cobra S9's I traded in but the Grain Flow Forged BORON steel feels like "butter" when you hit the sweet spot. The scoring clubs give me consistent distances with my approaches. My go to approach shot is the 2 - 3 yard butter cut, but I can easily hit the nice tight draw with these clubs. If your looking for a forged iron with game improvement technology, work-ability and consistent distances the JPX 850's are a quality choice for you.

Shouldn't have waited so long

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play monthly  Dexterity: Right Hand

I bought a set of used JPX-850 Forged about a month ago. I had liked the way they feel when I hit them in the store but never moved ahead with buying them. I found a set on Global Golf that suited me so I finally pulled the trigger. Wow, what a difference. I hit them on the range and they were great. But the big difference was on the course. The first shot I hit with them on the course was a 4 iron from about 250 yards out. I just wanted to get inside 50 yards for my next shot. It was a blind shot so I couldn't see where it ended up. Much to my surprise it was on the green hole high! There's no way I carried all the way but what an unbelievable shot. The rest of my shots were much better from the fairway than I had been playing with my previous irons. I found myself reaching for the putter only a lot when I went to the green. Don't hesitate if your thinking about these irons, and Global Golf provides an affordable option.

Beautiful clubs with mizzy feel and a cavity back

These are not the most forgiving clubs, but they are in line with AP2's and I like the look of the Mizuno's better. The silver look just fits so well in my bag :)

Great irons for mid to low handicapper

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

i bought the JPX 850 forged irons as I was looking for a slightly better set of irons with my handicap coming down. These are such fantastic irons, easy to hit without the look of an oversized head. And of course Mizuno grain flow forged nothing compares.

Everything you need in irons
By Henry Brown on 2/11/2015

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

in my opinion the most versatile iron set on the market for the mid handicapper. The compact head and thin milled sole allow for a variety of shot making. Easy to square up at impact and flew very straight. You can work the ball with these irons fairly easily if that's your game. The distance was consistent with my Ping i25's , but the shot dispersion was slightly better. When I mis-hit its a toe hit and these carry a hair better than the Pings. I think these are a great choices for the 8-16 handicapper. if you want a little more forgiveness look at the JPX EZ's.
