Description

The TaylorMade R9 TP fairway wood allows the player to launch the ball longer and straighter utilizing Flight Control Technology (FCT), which enables the face angle and lie angle to optimize flight and trajectory. Its New Classic head shape combines traditional and modern lines to create a confidence-inspiring, aesthetically pleasing look from address. It also features an advanced sole design that is more rounded and beveled to increase playability from most any lie. It has the same head design as the R9 fairway, but comes standard with an upgraded shaft.

I used to be very bad at fairway wood. With this R9 TP wood 5, I am finally able to hit balls straightly with excellent flight. Strongly recommend this fairway wood to any level of golfers with problems at fairway wood.

Disappointed
By Bill on 3/31/2015

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

All I can say is disappointed. I have a 5 wood R9 that I hit great so thought I'd order a 3 wood. Upon getting my used club (and yes I understand "used" means used) I was VERY disappointed to find a large dent in the face of the club. I'm returning the club however I am out the cost of a new grip, the labor to have it installed before they sent it out to me and the shipping charges. In all it cost me roughly $30 to get a dented club and have it returned.

These are your Utry selections. Only Utry eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our Utry golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club or $100 an iron set. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. Utry lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club or 1 iron set for $100.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

Utry gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
