    2023: TaylorMade Stealth 2 Drivers

The TaylorMade Stealth 2 drivers are riding the wave of popularity from its predecessors in 2022. There are four models: the TaylorMade Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD, Stealth 2 HD Women’s and Stealth 2 Plus.

Designed for all handicaps, the Stealth 2 drivers are lighter, more forgiving and give off an even purer sound at impact than before.

Main technological advancement: Enhanced 60X Carbon Twist Face™

While both the TaylorMade Stealth and TaylorMade Stealth 2 drivers have Twist Face™ technology, the latter has an advanced version that makes this driver even more forgiving - “FARGIVING” to be exact.

TaylorMade Golf’s push into “FARGIVENESS” means this particular innovation increases both forgiveness and ball speeds, especially on missed shots.

    Handicap range: low to high

Everyone can enjoy the TaylorMade Stealth 2 drivers if they wish: the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus driver is for low handicaps (0-10), the TaylorMade Stealth 2 driver is for mid handicaps (10-25) and the TaylorMade Stealth 2 HD drivers - for men and women - are for higher handicaps (15-30).

    2022: TaylorMade Stealth Drivers

The TaylorMade Stealth drivers were hot (and still are) when they came onto the scene in 2022. With a model for every skill level, everyone was able to experience the distance and forgiveness that went into this design.

Compared to the TaylorMade SIM2 and M6 drivers, the Stealth driver uses carbon and titanium for more power and accuracy.

Main technological advancement: 60X Carbon Twist Face™

We know - this is the same innovation listed for the Stealth 2, but this first version of the 60X Carbon Twist Face™ in the 2022 iteration is the first of its kind. After 20 years, TaylorMade Golf’s drivers have moved on from titanium to create a lighter clubhead with a larger sweet spot.

    Handicap range: mid to high

The TaylorMade Stealth drivers follow the same handicap ranges as the Stealth 2: the TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver is for low handicaps (0-10), the TaylorMade Stealth driver is for mid handicaps (10-25) and the TaylorMade Stealth HD drivers - for men and women - are for higher handicaps (15-30).

    2021: TaylorMade SIM2 Drivers

The TaylorMade SIM2 drivers embody the lightest and strongest versions of TaylorMade Golf’s pre-60X Carbon drivers. Before switching to carbon in the Stealth and Stealth 2 lines, the SIM2 drivers had distance and forgiveness as key outputs in their design; the Stealth drivers just happened to build on those areas.

    There are three SIM2 models: SIM2, SIM2 Max and SIM2 Max D.

Main technological advancement: New Forged Ring Construction

The new Forged Ring Construction involves a clubhead design rooted in stability. By having a forged club head and a milled back cup face, you’ll see forgiveness and consistency off the tee.

    Handicap range: mid to high

The TaylorMade SIM2 drivers are for mid handicaps (10-25), the TaylorMade SIM2 Max drivers are for mid to high handicaps (15-30) and the SIM2 Max D drivers - essentially the SIM2 Max drivers with draw bias - are also for mid to high handicaps (15-30).

    2020: TaylorMade SIM Drivers

The TaylorMade SIM drivers burst on the scene with a then-new clubhead shape that would improve weighting balances. With this line of TaylorMade drivers, you’ll see lower CG (center of gravity) and higher MOI (moment of inertia) for a higher launch and more forgiveness.

While the SIM drivers are no longer the latest, they do still possess impressive technology that can make a difference in your game.

Main technological advancement: Aerodynamic Asymmetric Sole and Inertia Generator

TaylorMade Golf achieved more distance in their SIM drivers through increased clubhead speed and ball speed. The balanced extreme weighting also lends itself to a forgiving driver. The main takeaway with the TaylorMade SIM drivers is that you no longer have to sacrifice distance or forgiveness for the other; you can have both.

    Handicap range: mid to high

The TaylorMade SIM drivers are for mid handicaps (10-25), the TaylorMade SIM Max drivers are for mid to high handicaps (15-30) and the SIM Max D drivers - the SIM Max driver design with draw bias - are also for mid to high handicaps (15-30).

    2019: TaylorMade M5, M6 Drivers

The TaylorMade M6 drivers come from a long era of M family golf clubs; the M5 and M6 drivers capped off the line with the latest of innovations, though the SIM and Stealth lines later built upon this line to maximize performance.

While there was a big jump in both lines the following years, the TaylorMade M6 remains a popular driver option for those looking for forgiveness at a lower price. The TaylorMade M6 D-Type driver carries the same technologies as the M6 but has a draw bias to fix slices. The TaylorMade M5 driver, however, is customizable for the utmost workability off the tee.

    Main technological advancement: Speed Injected™

The Speed Injected™ technology was first introduced in these TaylorMade drivers, and it ensured the clubhead design was optimized for maximum ball speeds and distance. This technology continued to evolve in later lines.

    Handicap range: low to high

Whereas the TaylorMade M5 drivers are geared toward lower handicaps (0-12), the M6 drivers are for higher handicaps (15-30), including the TaylorMade M6 D-Type driver.
