Callaway is one of the most popular and respected brands in golf, especially regarding their Apex Series. The American company has an extensive history of developing high-quality and renowned clubs for professionals and amateur golfers alike. Callaway’s reputation is held in high esteem by professional golfers such as Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Sam Burns, Francesco Molinari and Henrik Stenson, who choose Callaway golf clubs as their go-to. Additionally, Callaway is the proud parent company of Odyssey Golf, a leading manufacturer of putters in the industry.
Through its commitment to innovation and quality, Callaway Golf has established itself as a trusted name in the golfing community. Callaway offers a wide variety of clubs and equipment for golfers of all skill levels, including professionals and amateurs. They aim to improve performance and enhance the game for everyone by creating game-improvement drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons.
With the use of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) technologies, Callaway Golf develops high-strength titanium club faces that offer more speed and spin for every handicap and a Tungsten Speed Cartridge to add more forgiveness through higher MOI (moment of inertia). The use of A.I. means that Callaway Golf could test thousands of driver designs before building prototypes, allowing them to offer you the most optimized design. Most lines come with left-handed Callaway driver options as well.

What’s the Callaway Apex Line?
First released in 2014 as the Apex and Apex Pro irons, the Callaway Apex series has been an industry favorite that has evolved through the years. These blade-style irons were designed to offer a higher launch and more forgiveness in your golf strokes with tungsten inserts added to the soles of their 3, 4 and 5 irons. The 2014 models featured a forged construction and a 37WV groove that was wider and used fewer grooves than previous iterations to create a more consistent launch and spin from less-than-ideal lies.
In 2016, Callaway designed the CF16 and Apex Pro 16, both of which still see high levels of play. The CF16 (Cup Face 16) took the design of their fairway woods and put them into 3-7 irons, giving the club face more flexibility on impact to increase ball speed and forgiveness for more consistent play. The Apex Pro 16 had a forged face cup to make center and off-center hits faster for greater launch, speed and forgiveness.
In 2019, the Apex 19, Apex 19 Smoke, Apex Pro 19, and Apex Pro Smoke 19 were all introduced to the market. Regarded as their most refined clubs in the series yet, these forged steel clubs offered even greater speeds, consistency and forgiveness with their flexible rims and VFT Face for spin control.
In 2021, Callaway introduced a new lineup to the Apex series with the Apex 21 iron series: the Apex 21, Apex 21 DCB, Apex 21 TCB, Apex Pro 21, and Apex MB, giving players more club variety and options to experience what the Apex series had to offer. Boasting five times more tungsten inserts than the previous generation, this Callaway Apex iron series had a more robust launch. The Callaway Apex 21 series features strong lofts of varying degrees depending on the iron to create a low spin on the ball for greater consistency, distance and straighter shots.
