Description

The TaylorMade AeroBurner Mini driver is designed for players that hit their 3-wood off the tee a lot more frequently than from the fairway. It features a 253cc aerodynamic shape designed with a shallow face, raised center crown and new hosel fin. The new Open Channel Speed Pocket is the largest speed pocket designed so far, and increases the size of the sweet spot and reduces spin. Its improved playability is due to its larger hitting area and decreased overall size. This driver has a matte white finish, black PVD face and linear AeroBurner crown graphic to make alignment easy.

Features

  • Smaller 253cc aerodynamic design

Q
Can I hit this club from the fairway or only off a tee? I'm wondering if it could replace my current 3-wood.
asked by James L. on 11/11/2015
A
We would not particularly recommend using a mini driver as a 3 wood replacement. The mini driver is meant for the tee box as it has a deeper face and larger head, which makes it more difficult to get airborne off a tight lie from the fairway. The mini driver is meant to be a replacement for today's driver, if you have trouble with consistency of the larger 460CC head sizes and longer shafts.

Q
most of your aero burner mni drivers have a 16 d degree loft...would 14 degrees not be better
asked by Charles H. on 9/11/2016
A
There are many factors which will dictate what loft works best for a particular player. 14 degrees of loft will provide a lower launch angle which may or may not be beneficial for a particular player. Some players with a slower swing speed benefit more from the added launch angle.

Q
what's the difference in mini drivers and TP?
asked by Dickson F. on 8/16/2016
A
A mini driver has a smaller head than a traditional driver as well as more loft. It also is the length of a 3wood. The TP models of TaylorMade clubs feature upgraded shafts that are heavier and promote a lower launch and lower spin rates typically preferred by better players.

Q
Would a 101/2 % be better for me because I hit high with 14%
asked by Alfred D. on 10/14/2016
A
A 10.5 degree is going to hit the ball lower than a 14 degree. If you are looking to hit it lower, go with the 10.5.
