Description

The TaylorMade M3 driver features new Twist Face technology engineered to reduce side spin and to deliver straighter shots as well as provide more loft in the high-toe and less loft in the low-heel for more consistent spin where golfers commonly miss-hit. The M3 also features a Hammerhead Slot that provides a larger sweet spot and increased ball speed for more distance while the Y-Track system allows you to move weight and adjust your settings for optimal trajectory, maximum forgiveness, or raw speed.

Clubs in Excellent Condition have had very limited use. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Excellent Condition: Normal ball marks minimally visible on the face; very light scratching on the sole; no abnormal crown or shaft wear.

The M3 features the moveable weights to customize ball flight typically preferred by better players. The M4 is more about forgiveness and distance and only features the hosel adjustments.

The M3 driver has a nice light feel with Red 50 shaft and a pleasing sound on center contact. It’s comparable to the Rogue and 400Max for distance with good adjustability. If you’re testing drivers take this one for a ride.

I love this driver. I have used it only once and notice an improvement in my drives. Although it was a value listing, the club was in pristine condition save a small scuff on the sole. I am truly impressed with the quality of the used clubs I have purchased from Globalgolf.

Played four rounds so far and from the start it has been the best driver I’ve ever hit. Although my distance doesn’t seem to be greater, my off center hits are quite a bit straighter and the dispersion is definitely tighter using this club. Since I’ve played with it for just a few rounds I haven’t really tried adjusting the weights or changing the loft, and I’m hoping that by experimenting with the adjustments I can add a few more yards.

From the first swing I could see how this club will help straighten out my drives that normally have a slight fade. But the best is when you have an off center hit they still go straight just not as far. This is a great club if you have the proper shaft attached.

Technology / Specs

There are 3 main technologies in the TaylorMade M3 driver.


Twist Face Technology



Twist Face technology is designed to straighten out mishits for improved accuracy. The most common miss for golfers is high-toe and low-heel. TaylorMade engineers addressed these misses by literally twisting the club face.


Shots hit on the toe generally miss left (for a RH golfer) with little spin. This produces a low, duck hook. On the opposite end of the spectrum, shots hit on the heel travel higher with more spin.


The toe on the M3 is open 0.5 degrees and adds 1 degree of loft. The heel is closed 0.5 degrees and delofted by a degree. These changes combat the miss tendencies, bringing those shots back towards the middle.


Hammerhead Technology



Hammerhead Technology is a slot on the sole of the M3 driver. Two ribs in the slot run nearly perpendicular to the clubface. Their strength allows the face to be made thinner, creating more ball speed and forgiveness.


The slot also flexes at impact, further amplifing ball speed and forgiveness across the face.


Y-Track Technology



The new Y-Track technology on the sole of the M3 driver gives you more control over your ball flight. Two 11-gram weights can be positioned to produce more draw or fade bias. They can also increase or decrease the launch angle and spin.
