The Taylormade SLDR S Driver has the innovative SLDR sliding weight technology coupled with a modern-classic, satin silver crown head design. The easy and intuitive SLDR S sliding weight allows for 21 different weight positions and promotes up to 30 yards of shot shape adjustment. The strategically placed Low-forward CG position in the SLDR S head promotes a faster ball speed, high launch and low spin for extraordinary distance. This driver also features a black button-back located on the trail edge of the crown which works with the subtle crown markings for stress-free clubface alignment. The easy adjusting SLDR S driver has a 460cc head and can be tuned to fit tour pros and amateurs alike.

Does this adjust the same as the SLDR model?
asked by Walter T. on 11/17/2015
The SLDR-S does not have loft adjustability, only the sliding weight port on the sole of the club to adjust for fade or draw bias. The printed loft of the club is set, so what you select is the loft that the driver will remain.

Good but not Great Driver at an excellent price.

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: Hardly ever  Dexterity: Right Hand

Bought this "very good" condition and came in pretty good shape. I see probably 10 yards more in terms of distance but not a significant more to make me say "wow!" But I did hear that lofting up gets much more distance as I got the 10 degree driver. Easy to hit and don't regret buying it. The only thing is that the adjustable weight comes a bit loose after every couple rounds.

First of all this is an incredible driver. Upgraded to this from a Tmag Rocketballz Tour and love it so far. Bought it in "used" mint condition and if I didn't know any better I'd say it was brand new. Not a single mark on it. Went to a local box store after and they still had it on sale for twice as much as this website! This is my second great mint condition club purchased from here and I plan on purchasing all future clubs through Global Golf as well. Extremely satisfied.

Better than I thought

I am sure I will bump this up to 5 stars, but I haven't used it enough. I will say, when I get it right, the ball is just crushed. I went from a Calloway RAZR XTreme to the SLDR S to try and go back to basics and it is amazing how much easier the SLDR is to hit. Club feels good, and has an awesome sound. And again, crushed the ball. Can't ask for more.

Been having trouble with a finding the driver that fits me. I spent $350 on a Calloway XR. I couldn't hit it straight no matter how hard I've tried. I bought the SLDR S yesterday and did not miss a fairway all day. Amazing feel and distance. Most forgiving driver I have ever hit. This one will stay in the bag for a very long time.

This driver has a great feel. Lightweight and high quality. Not sure how much the slider weight really helps my swing. Ive played twice since getting this club, and I am crushing it. Great distance a,d the sound is impressive!

The SLDR S Driver: Distance for All Skill Levels

The SLDR S driver is exactly what you think it is; a powerful driver hurling the golf ball into orbit. The key to success with the SLDR S driver is lofting up. By choosing a higher loft than your normal driver, you’ll find that you can gain serious distance no matter what your swing speed is. Lofting up may sound counter-intuitive in regards to distance, but with the advanced technology packed into this driver it’s definitely the answer. Our advice: loft up and let the results speak for themselves.

TaylorMade is continuing to design drivers with a low and forward center of gravity (CG). This CG placement encourages a higher launching golf shot with low spin, delivering fast ball speeds and extremely long distance. They’ve also stuck with their easy to use SLDR sliding weight. This 20 gram weight can slide back and forth locking into 21 different positions, promoting up to 30 yards of shot shape.

The SLDR S driver is available in 10, 12, 14, and 16 degrees of loft. The shaft on the SLDR S driver is the Fujikura Speeder shaft with a length of 44.5 inches that’s a perfect blend of lightweight, great feel and playability. For those seeking the TP version, the shaft is a Fujikura Motore Speeder shaft.
