The TaylorMade Rescue 2011 features a deeper face and lower center of gravity for easier launch angles. Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows the player to adjust the loft, lie angle and face angle for unmatched optimization. FCT allows for +/- 4 degrees of face angle change, +/- 1 degree of loft change and +/- 2 degrees of lie angle change. The non-glare flat white crown and black face makes it easier to align and improves visual acuity.

Perfect rescue
By John on 3/24/2011

I just bought this Taylor made R9 TP rescue for replacement of my old hybrid. I have to say this club has, by far for me at least, the best trajectories and forgiveness. It has made my game more enjoyable.

solid feel, feedback and all around great club

The taylor made r9 tp hybrid I purchased was substituted for the ping i15. I must say after hitting all hybrids across the board, this club has by far the best trajectory workability and feel you could look for in any club. with the options of FTC this club is leaps and bounds above competitors. shaft properties are a perfect match regardless of the shaft options taylormade provides. I went back and purchased the 4HY and may even take on the 5HY.

Old model but a great club

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

I purchased this club because I wanted to try my hand at a rescue which I've never really used but I was surprised on how the ball responded off the face of this club. I am a believer in rescue clubs now and I don't go to a course with out this in the bag. It hits great out of the rough, tight lies and even in the short grass.

It's a TP club. When you connect, it goes a long way.

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play monthly  Dexterity: Right Hand

After not hitting my low irons so well I decided to try a hybrid. This club was delivered in great condition and feels well in the hand. I enjoy using this club and so does my handicap.

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
