The traditional hybrid head shape is created with a unique dropped crown contour. This allows for increased versatility and straight line drives. The head is made with SpeedFoam technology for thinner, faster faces, yet excellent contact sound and feel.

What a surprise!

I was really skeptical about this being "just another hybrid", but after trying it and it's sister clubs, I became a believer. The HI model was accidentally sent to me instead of the MID, and I'm glad for it because it both fits better in the lofting I wanted, but it turns out the HI is not the run of the mill hybrid head either. Addresses much more open than normal hybrid heads and seems to compensate against hook bias. I can feel that P790 speedfoam influence in the head and it hits great. Really does fill in the gap perfectly between my 5I and HW

Just what I was looking for from TM, I wasnt a fan if the rescue woods from earlier generations. This is a true hybrid IMHO.

If you want the look more of an iron and less of a fairway wood, this club is for you! I love the way it looks behind the ball and the performance is awesome!

Fills The GAP R Perfectly

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

Order showed up in 8 days. Club was listed as Very Good. Minor scratching on the bottom, so minor you have to hold it just right to see it. One small mark on face almost on the top of the toe. If I hit the ball with that spot, the mark is the least of my worries. Very happy with price to condition/quality ratio. Wanting to switch my RBZ 4 and 5 hybrids for GAPRs now.

Technology / Specs

The TaylorMade GAPR Hi hybrid has the most traditional hybrid shaping of the GAPR line. It produces high-arcing shots with gap-filling distance thanks to the following features.

The GAPR Hi hybrid is filled with TaylorMade's propritary SpeedFoam material. The soft, rubber-like material improves distance and feel in the club.

SpeedFoam supports the thin face of the club, allowing it to flex more at impact to produce higher ball speeds and distance.

When the face flexes, it vibrates, which doesn't feel very good. SpeedFoam dampens these vibrations for better feel.

The GAPR Hi hybrid is also the most forgiving model in the line. Its large, high-MOI head features a refined Speed Pocket on the sole. The Speed Pocket amplifies performance on shots hit across the face, especially low on the face.

The familiar TaylorMade loft sleeve on the GAPR clubs lets you dial in your ball flight and fill distance gaps.

Below are the stock club specs and shaft information for the TaylorMade GAPR Hi hybrid.
