Description

While Nikon’s COOLSHOT Rangefinders are great for displaying distances to the pin, they are just as useful for finding distances to unwanted objects (hazards, trees, etc.) on the golf course as well. Knowing these distances will remove the stress of the unknown and allow you to focus on learning to manage your game better. The Nikon COOLSHOT 20 Golf Laser Rangefinder is the smallest, most compact rangefinder of Nikon’s line, but still packs a powerful punch. This easy-to-use tool provides accurate measurements for every shot with one-push continuous measurement that includes First Target Priority Mode, which enables easy distance assessment to bunkers, fairway ends, dogleg corners and ultimately the flagstick. The COOLSHOT 20 can withstand rain, cold and heat with its durable rainproof design and wide temperature tolerance.

Features

  • Measurement range: 5-500m/6-550 yd.
  • A single press of the POWER button provides 8-second continuous measurement, which enables measurement even with slight hand movement
  • Compact, lightweight (approx. 125g) and ergonomic design
  • High-quality 6x monocular with multilayer coating for bright, clear images and Dioptre adjustment function
  • Long eye relief design affords eyeglass wearers easy viewing
  • Rainproof — JIS/IEC protection class 4 (IPX4) equivalent (under our testing conditions) and Wide temperature tolerance: -10°C to +50°C
  • First Target Priority mode is employed when measuring overlapping subjects. The distance of the closest subject is displayed — useful when golfing for measuring the distance to a flagstick on a green with woods in the background

Cool Rangefinder
By Roger W on 4/12/2018

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

I went back and forth over whether to buy a rangefinder or watch gps. I didn't like the thought of wearing something on my wrist or having to program each course, so I decided to buy the rangefinder.

After doing research, I decided on the Nikon Coolshot 20. I didn't want to pay the extra for slope adjustment, and the price was right.

I couldn't be happier with the device. It's small and lightweight, but easy to use and hold steady. It's picks up on the target very easy.

I played golf with a friend who had a more expensive model by another manufacturer and the yardage reading was identical to the yard.

I looked at these in a few stores before going to GG to purchase. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The rangefinder is the perfect size for keeping in your pocket and it has plenty of zoom and power to detect flags within reasonable range.

A lower cost Range Finder that works good
By James M. on 5/16/2018
2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

I had a great $150ish Range Finder for 2-3 years and thus never felt the need to get a high end one. When it broke, I then went thru 2 new ones @ this same lower price point that simply did not work until I tried out the Nikon Coolshot 20 and this is great! Very solid basic range finder that will allow you to get the right club out vs relying on markers or apps that will be plus/minus 10 yards at time.
