Garmin Approach S62 Watch GPS/Range Finders

Upgraded from the S20 because I wanted the map of the hole and touch to distances. The Plays Like feature is a great bonus and very handy on courses with a lot of elevation change. Accurate and effective.

Battery lasts a long time (maybe use 15% in a 4 hour round), if wearing as a normal watch it's only about 5% usage per day!

I was so excited to buy this watch as it was going to replace my subscription GPS that I had used for years. So far I have never completed a round of golf without it locking up. The only thing I have been able to do is reset the watch and start over. It has a lot of tracking health features which might be useful but I really just bought the watch for golf. It does work great for a sports watch but pretty expensive for just that feature. I didn't buy the club trackers because that just interferes with my golf round. I already been there and done that with another company. not much support from Garmin on there web site and they do not have a fix for the freezing. I expect somewhere in the future they will update the watch with more memory and ram to manage the features.

Love the watch, never a glitch! Gives accurate distances, perfect score tracking, and so convenient on wrist! I went from being the slowest to the fastest score keeper! I lost the sensor on my 5 iron so the S62 asks me what I hit with every time I use it. In other words, playing with the sensors makes a big difference! Also I use the watch for swimming indoor lap pool with perfect tracking of distances! And biking outdoors with speed, distance, time, etc. As for connecting to my smartphone, I admit I felt overwhelmed setting that up (I set up both Garmin Connect and Garmin Golf) but I can say that on the course, the S62 operates independently and does not depend on my smartphone being on or not!

I bought this watch in the spring and have used it extensively. Very helpful both during the round with distances and virtual caddy and after the round with garmin golf app.

Highly recommended.

Has a few problems here and there and it doesn't seem like Garmin is trying to fix them. The most annoying issue is every time you walk out of blue tooth range of your phone and then come back, you stop getting any notifications until you restart both the watch and the phone.

This watch has taken so many shots off my game, i know the distance to green and use the caddy to reccommend clubs

Having data right on my wrist and then being able to access complete information on my computer later is amazing. Seeing distances and obstacles (water, bunkers, etc.) is quite helpful. I love it!

As accurate as it gets, simply put it is the best out There!
