In 2023, Srixon Golf built on its popular ZX5 and ZX7 lines with the Mk II iteration. This technology means more workability for lower handicaps and more distance for higher handicaps.
In this line, you’ll see some familiar names. The 2023 releases include:
- Srixon ZX7 Mk II driver and two Srixon ZX5 Mk II drivers
- Srixon ZX Mk II fairway woods
- Srixon ZX Mk II hybrids
- Four sets of Srixon ZX Mk II irons

What’s New in the Srixon Mk II Lines?
The Srixon Mk II lines build off the already popular ZX lines with technology geared towards more distance. Srixon Golf accomplishes this through two new innovations. With the adjustable weights and more forgiveness, these Srixon golf clubs can be tailored to your game.
Srixon ZX Mk II Driver Technology
The newest innovations in the long game are mainly seen in the Srixon ZX Mk II drivers, though some of these technologies translate into this line’s fairway woods and hybrids as well. When you compare Srixon ZX5 vs. ZX5 Mk II drivers or Srixon ZX7 vs. ZX7 Mk II drivers, for example, you’ll see stronger and faster iterations of the previous season’s technologies.
1. Rebound Frame’s Dual Flex Zones
Srixon Golf has leveraged ball speed improvements to increase your distance, especially off the tee. The 2023 Srixon drivers use the Rebound Frame’s Dual Flex Zones to create an even hotter club face. The Rebound Frame technology was seen in the previous season’s models, though this iteration is stronger with the Dual Flex Zones increasing energy efficiencies.
2. Star Frame Crown
A proprietary clubhead design, the Star Frame Crown ensures your ideal trajectory on every drive. Made of thin titanium, the Srixon driver crowns are light yet strong. Weight positioning is also aimed to give you the best spin for your swing speed off the tee.

Srixon ZX Mk II Fairway Wood and Hybrid Technology
This technology is largely consistent across the Mk II line, though the Srixon ZX Mk II fairway woods have a carbon crown instead of a titanium one, and the Cannon Sole adds more ball speed to the Rebound Frame equation.

The Srixon ZX Mk II hybrid also has the Rebound Frame but adds a deeper CG (center of gravity) for even more distance off the fairway and rough cuts.

Srixon ZX Mk II Iron Technology
Each Srixon ZX MK II iron set has its own unique qualities, but there are a few technological innovations that are common throughout the different models that make these quite the option if you’re looking for player irons.
1. MainFrame and PureFrame
MainFrame technology is present in the majority of Srixon ZX Mk II irons. Integrated throughout the clubhead, MainFrame adds distance to your approach shots by contributing added flex.
Forged irons, while great for added distance, don’t always have the best feel; Srixon Golf solves this issue with PureFrame, technology that’s right behind the clubface that ensures you’re getting the purest feel at impact. PureFrame technology is only included in the Srixon ZX7 Mk II iron set.
2. Tour V.T. Sole
How an iron glides through grass and sand has a profound effect on the pureness of your golf shot. The Tour V.T. Sole design ensures no lie - whether it’s fairway, rough or sand - interferes with your shot’s accuracy and distance.
3. Progressive Grooves
Depending on the range of your iron set, 7 irons and longer have wider grooves while 8 irons and shorter have deeper grooves. This allows you to maximize your shot at every distance, whether you need better contact from further away or more spin control within 150 yards.
With the grooves’ laser milling on each iron through gap wedge, you’ll find solid contact even in the wettest of conditions.
4. Iron Shapes
Three iron shapes are coming into play with the Srixon ZX Mk II line. The Players Iron shapes are geared towards lower handicaps and professional golfers thanks to its compact construction and muscle back that supports more playability.
The Players Distance Iron shape are standard blade length irons with a cavity back. They’re found in Srixon ZX irons that provide a great mix of forgiveness and workability.
How Many Srixon ZX Mk II Driver Models Are There?
There are three drivers in the 2023 Srixon Golf lineup: the ZX7 Mk II driver, the ZX5 Mk II driver and the ZX5 LS Mk II driver. While geared mainly toward lower handicaps, there is an option for the average player.
1. Srixon ZX7 Mk II Driver
The Srixon ZX7 Mk II driver has all the makings to become a tour favorite. With a compact clubhead and maximum adjustability, this Srixon driver is even more workable than before.
Whether you’re shot shaping around the treeline or adjusting your loft in different wind conditions, the Srixon ZX7 Mk II driver promises power and control for those with lower handicaps and higher swing speeds.

2. Srixon ZX5 Mk II Driver
The Srixon ZX5 Mk II driver is geared toward more mid-to-high handicap players. With a traditionally sized clubhead that is aesthetically pleasing and customizable CG weighting, you can trust that this driver will have you launching higher and further off the tee.
With added forgiveness and stability built into the technology, your tee shots will be finding the fairway more often as well.

How Many Srixon ZX Mk II Iron Sets Are There?
There are three Srixon ZX Mk II iron sets and one ZX Mk II utility iron to choose from in 2023.
1. Srixon ZX7 Mk II Irons
Like the driver, the Srixon ZX7 Mk II irons are geared toward tour players or those with lower handicaps. With the PureFrame technology, you’ll be playing the ultimate forged iron set with the feel of a blade.
These Srixon irons come in what they call Players Iron shape. With a compact, thin construction and a muscle-back cavity, the Srixon ZX7 Mk II irons are extremely playable.

2. Srixon ZX5 Mk II Irons
Another players iron set, the Srixon ZX5 Mk II irons are geared toward low to mid handicap golfers looking for distance, playability and some forgiveness. With the MainFrame design in tow and the Players Distance iron shape, these Srixon irons have the look of a blade with the added benefit of being a little more forgiving than the ZX7 Mk II irons, without sacrificing distance.

3. Srixon ZX4 Mk II Irons
The most forgiving iron set of the line, the Srixon ZX4 Mk II irons carry the MainFrame design and the Hollow iron shape, giving you the largest clubhead in the line with offset and a confidence-boosting design at address.
These Srixon irons are geared toward mid to high handicaps looking for more distance. With the strongest lofts of any irons in this line, you’ll find distance instantaneously.

4. Srixon ZX Mk II Utility Iron
While not an iron set, the Srixon ZX Mk II utility iron - or driving iron - is constructed with many similar technologies. With a MainFrame design and a different technology controlling the smooth sole interaction with turf - what Srixon Golf calls sole notches - the ZX Mk II utility iron is a fantastic substitute for long irons.
Not only is this Srixon utility iron forgiving and boasting a little offset, it also looks similar to a blade and offers distance and workability. What that means is anyone - from tour players to high handicappers - can find this in their golf bags and leverage its technology.
If you’re not sure if the Srixon ZX Mk II utility iron is right for you, you can try it and the ZX Mk II hybrid with GlobalGolf’s UTry® and see which one feels better and fills in your gap.
