Pro Tip: The New Mizuno Pro Irons – A New Era of Forging

Mizuno Golf is known for their groundbreaking irons, and the new lineup that they have for 2024 is no different. The longtime partnership between Mizuno’s engineers and the renowned Grain Flow Forging plant in Hiroshima, Japan allows Mizuno to push the envelope on club design each year, which resulted in a revolutionary leap for the 2024 line. This year’s releases include the Mizuno Pro 241, Mizuno Pro 243, Mizuno Pro 245, and Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi.

Chris Voshall, Product Director at Mizuno, says, “Everything about the new Mizuno Pro 241, 243, 245 and Fli-Hi is pushed to the extreme – from technology to more streamlined playing profiles. Each model has become better at its specific job, more distinct, yet able to be blended when required.”

GlobalGolf is here to give you the rundown on the 2024 Mizuno Pro Iron releases and help you decide which Mizuno Iron is best for your game!

    Mizuno Pro 241

    Center Muscle

The muscle-back has re-established itself as Mizuno’s most played iron, and the 241 looks to continue that tradition. This iron features an aggressively tapered blade to provide an ideal trajectory, as well as an increased bounce angle which promotes better turf interaction. This iron also has improved head size, shape and topline from the previous year’s model.

    Mizuno Pro 243

    Tour Speed

The 243 is the iron that has advanced the most in 2024 from previous models. Featuring a more compact profile, this iron has increased both performance and efficiency with improved launch and faster ball speeds. The new Wrap Around Sole Grind provides consistent turf interaction as well as increased toe and heel sole release – leading to greater versatility.

    Mizuno Pro 245

    Tour Speed and Launch

If you are looking for a slimmer profile with impressive ball speed gains, look no further than the 245. This iron may look similar to the 241, but it differs in a few key places including internal Tungsten Weighting for improved launch and a Multi-Thickness CORTECH face. The 2-8 irons have a Hollow Body COR construction for higher MOI, COR and solid feel, while the 9-GW have a more compact Partial Hollow 1025E construction for solid, consistent feel and improved flight control.

    Mizuno Fli-Hi

    Tour Long Iron

Finally, the Fli-Hi is the first to utilize Nickel Chromoly 4335+ Hollow Body construction, creating a high COR face and a more bendable hosel. A 23g Tungsten weight gives you higher launch and peak trajectory, while the modern Black Ion Satin Finish provides a slimmer, more compact look.
