Description

Cleveland's Launcher XL irons are uniquely designed to provide forgiveness where you need it and control where you want it. The long irons are built hollow and strong with wider, flatter grooves. In turn, the short irons have a precise cavity back design, with closely-spaced, deeper and higher-spinning wedge grooves. Designed with artificial intelligence, Mainframe variable face technology enhances ball speed and performance. The unique weight pad design is specifically placed to offer maximum forgiveness across the face. An elevated leading edge allows the club to improve turf interaction with considerably less drag than a typical flat sole. The V-shaped sole maintains speed and power on heavier ball strikes. There's no one-size-fits-all solution to improving your game -- Cleveland Launcher XL brings forgiveness where it's needed and control where you want it, all in the same set of irons.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

Easiest irons to hit so far

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play monthly  Dexterity: Right Hand

I just got the graphite 4-PW a week ago. These are very easy to hit irons that look nice at address. I am partial to my BH Apex Plus set, but these are so much easier to hit, I decided to make the switch. I had used the UHX 5 & 4 for long irons with the BH set as well which were great. For comparison, the XL's have a slightly longer blade length, but the UHX have wider soles. It's a toss up to determine which one is easier to hit. I am a big believer of the V-sole for turf interaction. The have save me on some fat shots. Both are very forgiving on mishits. I would have to say overall, the XL's are the easiest to hit compared to my past iron sets (BH Apex Edge 2002,TM M2, TM RSI2, Wilson D350, Cobra One Length F7, 588 Altitude). One minus is that I am used to chipping with a smaller headed iron. The long blade length on the XL's takes getting used to and the ball seems to go farther on my chips. I need to practice chipping with the XL's. Can't blame the clubs when the player sucks golf balls.

Was able to try them first, huge improvement from the older Adams set I was using. Felt so much better and more confident strikes.
