Description

The Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero driver features a new Callaway technology called Flash Face for significant ball speed and longer distances. Flash Face’s unique, internal mapping consists of dozens of subtle ripples flowing from heel to toe that work together to elevate COR in the face’s center region. The result is a significant ball speed boost for noticeable distance when solid contact is made. The advanced head shape and internal weighting of the Sub Zero create a rare combination of high MOI and low spin, resulting in more forgiveness and longer distance. The sliding 12-gram weight gives golfers the power to easily promote draws, fades or a straighter flight.

Condition Description

Clubs in Very Good Condition have been played with and cared for in an appropriate fashion. The markings that you will likely find on Very Good Condition products will show typical wear of models of its age. All of the wear is purely cosmetic, and will not in any way affect the performance of the club. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Very Good Condition: Normal ball marks and scratching on the face; normal scratching on the sole; minor dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; very light scratches, paint chips, paint blemishes on or around the crown.

What is the difference with original epic flash?

The Sub Zero is the slightly smaller head that provides lower launch and spin. It is typically preferred by better players with higher club head speeds. It will not be as forgiving.

As a person with back problems I have started hitting up on tje ball and literraly hitting very very high shots with lots of fade. I had tried everything to no avail. The sub zero by Callaway paired with the Tensei shaft is the only combination of club/shaft that has finally given me back the ball flight that I needed. This driver is solid all the way around. I've always been a ping guy but Callaway won me over with this club.

High ball, high spin miss is my kryptonite. Particularly with the occasional hook. This low-spin option combined with the SMOKE shaft was fantastic.

This is very long but not quite as forgiving as the non sub zero version. I think the rogue SZ was more forgiving with a little larger head profile.

Best looking, best sounding and best performing driver on the market. Launches high and straight. But you can easily hit a draw or fade as needed. Combine with the sub-zero 3 wood and you will have a great combo.

I’m totally amazed at how good Globalgolf.com is. I decided to up grade my equipment with a new driver and found a Callaway Epic flash with senior flex shaft. It said it was in good condition so I decided to order it. Wow!! I’m so glad did. It was in pristine condition and has added great distance and accuracy to my game. Also the service was so fast and the driver was so impressive that I ordered a 3 wood and a 5 wood. Same experience!!! Amazing!!! Bought this just for the head because of the weight adjustments. I put in Proforce V2 F2 shaft and upped the back weight and set it full fade bias. The result is a nice tight draw and Im not afraid to go at it (no more snap hooks). The head has a nice sound and good ball flight.

Calloway Epic Flash subzero. Skeptical of all the great reviews this club received, but way better than I could have ever expected. Long and straight. I'm not a long driver but without changing my swing my ball is 20-30 yards farther than ever before. Global golf was great to order from and most likely would not have bought a new club if I looked elsewhere.

The face of the Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero driver is more than just pretty. It has hidden technology, called Flash Face.

Artificial Intelligence Creation

Flash Face is developed using Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and machine learning to cycle through 15,000 face iterations to find the best design. The resulting design boosts ball speed across the face and especially in the center.

Jailbreak Technology

Jailbreak Technoogy makes a return in the Epic Flash Sub Zero driver. As a refresher, 2 vertical bars behind the face connect the crown and sole, adding stiffness at impact for better energy transfer to the golf ball. More energy transferred to the golf ball means more ball speed and distance.

Adjustable Perimeter Weighting

The Epic Flash Sub Zero driver has an adjustable perimeter weight to control the ball flight. Move the weight towards the heel to promote a draw and towards the toe for a fade bias. The weight weighs less than the one found in the Epic Flash driver. This is because of fixed, heavier weight closer to the toe. Placing the weight there produces penetrating launch with lower spin.

T2C Triaxial Carbon Crown

At address, the Epic Flash Sub Zero driver has a different look than recent Callaway drivers. A new T2C Triaxial Carbon crown dominates most of the top. This new crown is lighter than before, allowing weight to be redistributed to the rest of the head, boosting forgiveness. The lighter weight also means that the strength of the crown needed improving. Callaway designers addressed this by using a tighter weave in the carbon.

OptiFit Hosel

You can adjust the Epic Flash Sub Zero driver with the company’s OptiFit hosel. Using the tool, you can change the loft a total of 3 degrees and open or close the face to help with a fade or draw, respectively. To adjust, unscrew the head from the shaft with the provided tool. Then line up the desired cog settings with the dash on the shaft and head. Finally, screw the head and shaft back together until you hear the tool click once.
