    Description

The Sigma 2 putters engineered with a new level of performance features a softer feel created by a dual-durometer face insert. This approach includes advanced putter fitting with a simple and intuitive adjustable-shaft-length technology that is a standard feature of every putter in the line. The dual-durometer PEBAX insert features PING’s patented True Roll face pattern. The softer front layer ensures the precision necessary for shorter, delicate must-makes. The firmer back layer offers the solid feedback and distance control required for holing longer-range putts and improving overall consistency. The Tyne putter has new micro-lines visible from the address, which provides added texture and a contrast that amplifies the ball-framing and parallel alignment. Also features the 365-gram head that stays extremely stable on short putts and delivers ample feel for longer attempts.

    Technology / Specs

The PING Sigma 2 Tyne Stealth putter is packs exciting new features into a Tour-proven design that helps you putt better. Read on to find out more.

    Dual-Durometer Face

PING uses 2 layers to make up the dual-durometer face, made out of a material called PEBAX. The outer layer is soft, like a pencil eraser, for a softer feel on short, delicate putts. The inner layer is firmer, like tire tread. This firmer layer gives excellent distance control on longer putts.

    Adjustable Shaft

PING first brought an adjustable shaft to the PING Nome model. That iteration had its limitations that the engineers addressed in the Sigma 2 line.

Each putter in the line can be adjusted between 32 inches and 36 inches using system that's built into the shaft. Simply take the tool and turn it left (adding length) or right (shortening length). Each full turn equals 1/4" on length.

    TR Technology

The face of the PING Sigma 2 putters have the company's patented TR technology, which stands for "true roll" technology. The grooves are cut to different depths, deeper in the sweet spot and shallower on the heel and toe. This variation of depth gives you more consistent ball speeds, helping mishits go a similar distance as pure strikes.

The PING Sigma 2 Tyne Stealth putter is a heel-shafted mallet that has a high MOI and easy alignment aids designed to help you make more putts. It has a head weight of 365 grams, for a stable smooth stroke. The Sigma 2 Tyne fits either a straight or slight arc putting stroke.
