Beautiful and Long

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

My 919 Hot Metal irons replaced Titleist 716 AP1. I am 71 and aware parts of my game are diminishing and therefore believed I was the problem not my AP1 clubs. Particularly since the magazines and pundits gave the AP1 such high marks. But Golf wasn’t fun and I decided I would try one new set before I retired from the game. Like most I went to golf shops and tried them all. Truthfully, this is a crummy way to test irons. I I was lucky to have friend who let me play with his Mizuno 900 irons. I knew immediately Mizuno fit me and was tons more fun to play.
Now I am hitting the 919 Hot Metal 7 iron 10-12 yards longer, I can draw and fade when I need. Golf is fun again. Lastly the feel and look are wonderful.
With modest swing speeds you won’t know the difference between forged and cast, and the forgiveness comes with the modified cavity back. The cast are prettier.

Handicap: 21+  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

I just got them today, went to the driving range after purchasing and was happy with the purchase. Tried a couple of sets before purchasing this one and I realized I had bad swings when trying it at the store but a forgiving result was resulted with these irons. This is going to sound exagerrated but with a 7 I was able to achieve 150 yards, with my previous irons with the 7 iron I struggled to exceed 120 yards. Very happy with the purchase just need to adapt these new distances to my game. Also purchase a S18 60 loft wedge and was very happy with it too.

Just as many reviewers have reported, these 919 hot metal irons are everything the press has said. Great feel, distance, control, looks etc. Mine were bought with Nippon Zelos 75g metal shafts and are extremely easy to hit with my mid tempo swing. Really happy to have them.

Plays Golf: Hardly ever  Dexterity: Right Hand

I am just starting to learn to play. I went To the local golf store and hit all the different irons they had and could definitely hit the Hot Metal the best. So I bought them. My club head speed was slow so I could control my hits. After two buckets of balls I gained about 14 mph. Club head speed and more distance because of the conference I have with these clubs.

Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal irons blend speed and control into a stunning looking golf club. Here’s what you need to know about them.

Chromoly 4140M

Mizuno again uses Chromoly 4140M to construct the head of the JPX 919 Hot Metal irons. The metal produces higher ball speeds for more distance.

Seamless Construction

A cupped face is seamlessly attached to the body of the JPX 91 Hot Metal irons. This construction technique provides you with more feedback and more distance on mishits.

Re-Engineered Sound Ribs

As you look at the back cavity of the JPX 919 Hot Metal irons, you may notice little ribs of steel near the topline. These are re-engineered sound ribs dampen vibrations and produce an ear-pleasing solid sound at impact.

The scoring irons and wedges are more compact, giving you added control as you approach the green.
