Description

The Ping G400 Crossover hybrid combines the precision and control of an iron with the ball speed and forgiveness of a hybrid. The G400 Crossover hybrid features a maraging C300 steel face and a thinner, hybrid-style sole for fast ball speeds, higher launch, and increased forgiveness. A forward CG placement helps generate 40% more spin and 45% less shot bend to ensure straight, stable trajectories. The flatter face performs with iron-like efficiency, sets up square and is easy to align.

Condition Description

Clubs in Very Good Condition have been played with and cared for in an appropriate fashion. The markings that you will likely find on Very Good Condition products will show typical wear of models of its age. All of the wear is purely cosmetic, and will not in any way affect the performance of the club. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Very Good Condition: Normal ball marks and scratching on the face; normal scratching on the sole; minor dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; very light scratches, paint chips, paint blemishes on or around the crown.

I play the G400 irons and the G400 Crossover is a nice complement. The ball striking sound is much improved over the prior generation G Crossover. I've found this club to provide the expected distance from a 3-hybrid and plenty of forgiveness on mis-hits.

Great club, don't know if I'll hit my hybrid anymore. Was looking for more accuracy on a long iron/hybrid, and love this club. Easy to hit off the tee or off the deck. Exactly what I was looking for.

This is a hideous golf club. But you won't find one that's more forgiving. I use a 3h as a driving iron and won't miss a fairway. I call her chunks, she will stay in my bag for a while.

I purchased the 25* and the flight is high and distance is true to a 5 iron even though slightly lower lofted. Easy to strike although a bit bigger than I would prefer. Solid club for those lacking height on iron shots

Cant comment on the club because I was sent the wrong club 2 times in a row. After the first order, I called to verify I would receive the right club. Was told a tech checked on it and was absolutely the correct club. So, I ordered. Well, the exact same wrong club arrived again the second time. The club type was correct both times, but the flex was wrong. Frustrating, especially after being told it was verified the second time and still sent the wrong club. Also, shipping from 3Balls is extremely slow every time.Will buy elsewhere.

Maraging Steel Face

PING uses of maraging C300 steel for the face construction of the G400 Crossover. The material gives shots hit across the entire face more ball speed for greater distance. It also gives the clubs a nice, high launch with plenty of stopping power to stick it close. The face is also flatter, enchancing the iron-like look of the club. The flatter face moves the CG forward, improving spin consistency by 40%, according to PING.

Sole Design

The sole of the G400 Crossover is thinner than in the past, giving it a more iron-like look. There is also plenty of bounce and camber to let the club get through the turf with ease.

Weight and Face removed from club

Weighting and Forgiveness

A 20-gram tungsten weight in the toe of the club optimizes the CG location for the ideal launch conditions. It also adds perimeter weight to the club, increasing MOI for a 17% tighter dispersion, according to PING.
