Description

The PING i Series iron set is designed using 431 stainless steel, which offers high strength to weight ratio and a softer feel. The head design of the i irons deliver workability and trajectory control with just the right amount of forgiveness. The lengths and lofts are optimized to increase distance with proper gapping which results in a players style iron with a high MOI and a clean look.

Fantastic irons!

These Ping irons are a great way for someone to step from a game improvement type club but not go as far as a full on players club. They still have a decent amount of forgiveness built in to them and some of that nice soft feel you get from a game improvement type club. Yet they have a much smaller offset, slimmer appearance and have that weight behind them like a players club.

This allows you to hit the shot you want yet wont fully punish you on a mishit. You get a nice medium/high trajectory and good spin. Overall I am very happy with them and look forward to doing some target shooting with them.

Grew up playing i10's. Went through about 7 different sets from different manufacturers before deciding on the i E1's. These are true to the Ping "feel". A good balance of forgiveness and feel. You know when you have a mis-hit, but you are not completely punished.

Ping i review

Purchased and play about 5 rounds so far. These irons have a very nice look at address. My ball flight has gotten a little higher, which I needed, and I am hitting these about 5 yards further than my last set which was Nike Vr Pro combos. The lofts have been moved down about 2 degrees on each club. The set does come with a 50 degree gap wedge, so I purchased 54 and 58 Ping glide wedges to close the gaps. the damage from mishits is minimized and still travels close to the intended distances. These irons are exactly what I expect from Ping!!

Best Ping I irons to date

I was in the search to upgrade my Ping G2's. My father had purchased the G30 and I liked those but tried the Ping I's with the 6.0 project X shafts. These are heavenly. They play and feel like a players club but have the forgiveness of a Game improvement iron. If you are inbetween a game improvement or players iron i would highly recommend these. And since these are Ping they will last you for a long time to come.

I have only hit them at the range because of it raining on my off days. These babies are straight and very forgiving. ping is always a solid choice

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
