Have a Question? Ask a PGA Professional

The Ping Glide Wedges were designed from the hands down to ensure the grip, shaft and head perform together for greater consistency and shot making versatility. The Dyla-wedge grip is longer with less tapering to allow the player to grip down for better trajectory control. The CFS wedge shaft and the Glide head design combine to deliver Ping’s most versatile wedge. The Glide wedge is available in 4 different sole grinds: Wide Sole (WS), Standard Sole (SS), Thin Sole (TS) and Eye Sole (ES), which allows you to be fit for your attack angle and most common turf conditions.

  • Dyla-wedge grip allows players to grip down for trajectory control
  • Bounce configurations optimized for spin consistency and versatility
  • 431 steel softens the feel while chrome plating improves consistency in wet conditions

Does this Wedge have the dyla-wedge grip?
asked by Eric Y. on 1/17/2017
The Dyla Wedge grip is the stock grip on these wedges. If you are looking at a used one, it is possible that a different grip was installed by the previous owner. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to verify a particular club.

I have played a Cleveland CG12 and a Cleveland 588 RTX 2.0 cb in the last few years. This wedge blows them both away. Way more forgiving. I had it bent to orange dot to match my 50 and 54. These wedges throw darts, even without your best swing.

Nice sandwedge

Was very reluctant to let go of my vintage ping eye 2 sandwedge but I m glad I did. Performed just like the eye 2s. Nice feel. Only down side was the head was bit on the lite side.

Sleeper Wedge

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

This wedge is sneaky good, don't let the cavity fool you into thinking it is for hacks. I find that the SS grind works better for me than any Vokey grind I have tried in the past. It has enough bounce to make open face bunker shots a breeze (something that I struggled with) and yet even the most delicate chip shots out of a thin lie work well with the SS grind. was contemplating getting the TS on my highest lofted wedge, but saw a good portion of tour pros were all using SS for each so I figured it was still a very versatile grind and I was right.

These are your Utry selections. Only Utry eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our Utry golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club or $100 an iron set. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. Utry lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club or 1 iron set for $100.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

Utry gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
