The TaylorMade RocketBallz fairway wood uses breakthrough technology to boost the clubface COR to an extreme. The Speed Pocket in the sole boosts ball speed dramatically for more distance. The Thick-Thin Crown design creates lower CG to promote higher launch for more distance. The low/forward CG promotes a higher launch and low spin. The white crown and black face makes alignment easy and eliminates glare on top. This fairway has increased 17 yards to most players’ current woods.

Hype or Fact

Bought the RBZ 3 wood with 15.5 degree loft and took it out to the course to match it against my current 3 wood which is also a slot technology club the Adams Speedline F11 at 15 degrees loft.
Off the Tee..RBZ out distanced the Adams by about 5 to 8 yards on average..
Off the Deck..RBZ out distanced the Adams by about 2 to 3 yards.
As far as feel is concerned both clubs feel like a driver off a tee whether from the fairway or tee.Really nice feeling clubs.
Accuracy goes to the RBZ it seems much more forgiving it also seems to be better from the rough as well.
Conclusion..I am a person who struggles to play to my 16 handicap so I need accuracy first and foremost. The RBZ is going in my bag for this reason.I did not see the 17 yard gain but the Adams F11 is a superb club for distance so this was probably a factor. The fact is for me this club is NOT a game changer but was still worth getting....
Ps..The white color didnt bother me at all and this is my first white club.

Convinced Skeptic

Year after year aren't we all like sheep? A new club comes out boasting some new technology and an even higher price tag than the previous model and we convince ourselves that we need a new club to improve our game. Only a few rounds later we find out that our game is the same and that we hit the new club about the same as the one we had before. Hype, hype hype. Everyone is guilty of buying into the hype that golf manufacturers put out there. I mean let's face it, who doesn't love hitting the course with their buddies and pulling out a new stick to show it off? Guilty! I have resisted upgrading my woods for the last few years and I often roll my eyes when I see the catch words, "longer", "straighter", "extreme distance" "explosive", and any other word manufactures throw out. I love my R-9 Supertri TP driver and fairway woods (3 & 5) and I hit them great. Why change?
I played in a scramble 2 weeks ago and gps said 265 to the center of the green of a par 5. I said, "I can't get there" after all my R-9 15 degree is a great club but I only hit it about 240. My buddy said, "use my RBZ". I had never hit it in my life but thought, what the heck. I drilled that ball and it ended up right in the center of the green. Some may say, big deal and that's fine, but for me, I have never hit a 265 yard 3 wood before. I was sold and now I own one. It is consistently around 20 yards longer for me. I still cling to my R-9 Driver though, the RBZ driver doesn't seem to have the same effect. But as far as I'm concerned the rocketballz fairway woods are legit. No joke, no hype, no bull.

RocketBallz Driver AND 3 Wood
By Umpire.20 on 5/31/2012

I purchased the RBZ Driver in late March 2012. I have struggled to hit a driver for almost 4 years now. I gotta tell you ...... this club is amazing. Not only do I now RUSH to the tee box, looking forward to my tee shot, I hit the club with confidence - high and straight. I highly recommend the driver.

Just 2 days ago I also purchased the RBZ 3 wood. I've hit it several times (on the course) and quite a few on the range. EVERY shot is straight, true, high, and on target. I had been playing an earlier model TaylorMade 3 wood and must say the RBZ is heavier (head - not shaft etc.). Take a practice swing or two to adjust to the RBZ and I am confident that you'll hit it better than your current 3 wood.

Both these clubs are forgiving for the shot that's not hit "dead center". And believe me, for those dead center shots ....... the name RocketBallz is appropriate. The mis-hits ain't bad either.

No, I am not an employee of TaylorMade and I receive no compensation from them. I simply LOVE these 2 new clubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ripper RBZ

I'm not a long hitter - I try for more control than length. I tried the RBZ at my range on a trial night. Six months down the track I decided to bite the bullet, and picked up Driver, 3W, 5W and Hybrids. They have added 20 metres to my game - that would be on the extreme side of most players, but factual for me. They are also easier to hit straighter than my old clubs. So I'm a convert - after years of Nike, I'm over to Taylormade. Longer, straighter - hard to argue with.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. Utry lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club or 1 iron set for $100.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

Utry gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.
