  • Pro Tip: Plan a Golf Date Night in Your Backyard

    Updated: Oct 16, 2020
Pro Tip Day 19 Plan A Golf Date Night

Planning a golf date in your backyard is easier than you think! Take time to unplug from work and the TV and get some fresh air with your significant other.

Below, we have compiled a list of items that will help you orchestrate the perfect golf date. Whether you play games or want to teach your significant other how to golf, have fun with each other and enjoy the night.

    1. Golf Clubs (and Golf Balls)

This seems like an obvious necessity, but golf clubs are essential for this date. Grab two sets of golf clubs and place them in the backyard. It is OK if you have only one set - sharing is caring, after all.

You can also make your significant other feel special by looking at these new club sets for him or her. For men, we recommend the Wilson Profile SGI Club Set. Including everything from driver to putter, you will also receive a golf bag with an AIRFLOW™ shoulder strap.

For women, we recommend the TaylorMade Preowned Ladies Kalea Ultralight 10 Piece Club Set. Because this set is preowned, it is a less expensive option than buying something new.

Snag a couple golf balls and get ready to have some fun!

    2. Golf Nets

The next step in this process is setting up the golf net(s). Choose one or a ton - Golf Gift & Gallery’s nets and the Izzo Triple Chip Net offer you plenty of options for different games.

Create your own competitions or check out our Chipping Games Pro Tip for more ideas using training aids.

    3. Portable Speaker

Every fun and romantic night in the backyard involves music. This is the point when you change your setup from a golf lesson to a golf date. Create a playlist of you and your significant other’s favorite songs and clip this wireless PUMA Soundchuck Mini speaker to your golf bag.

Bonus Pro Tip: String lights around your backyard to give the ambience some extra oomph!

    4. Refreshments

Another way to make your date feel more, well, like a date is to set up refreshments. Build a charcuterie board with what is left in your fridge and break out your favorite bottle of wine. You can use these Yeti Rambler Mugs to keep your drink cool and covered while you golf.

    5. Your Date

You are now all set! Surprise your date with your creativity and enjoy the night golfing and relaxing in your backyard.
