    Description

    The new Mizuno Pro 221 Irons is crafted to be more playable with an iconic muscleback design. The irons are expertly beveled for a shorter face profile and narrower top line without sacrificing mass in the upper blade. A microlayer of copper is built underneath the Nickel Chrome top to bring you the purest and softest feel. The Pro 221 features Mizuno's shortest CG/shaft axis and is consistent throughout the set to allow better control of fades and draws. These irons are evolved to be more playable through a process of incremental refinements in shape and weight placement.

    • Thicker Muscle Pad - Mass is relocated from the heel to the muscle pad for more thickness behind impact with a muted sound.

    • Smaller Short Irons - Tour feedback brings shorter smaller short irons, with a strongly taped upper blade for better trajectory control.

    The new Mizuno Pro 221 Irons were crafted with a premium muscleback design featuring narrow top lines and smaller face profiles.. The soft underlay comprised of copper combines with Grain Flow Forged technology to produce the classic Mizuno sound at impact.

    Compact Design for Exceptional Feel and Shaping

    A thinner top line has been implemented into the Mizuno Pro 221 Irons, giving you increased playability across the course. A copper underlay and 1025E Carbon Steel combo of materials also improve turf interaction and deliver pure feel. Mass in the head has also been relocated further behind center, optimizing impact and sound produced at it.

    Reduction in Head Size Increases Playability

    A shorter shaft/CG axis is found throughout the entire Mizuno Pro 221 Iron Set, helping to control draws and fades on each club. This reduction in size is most evident in lower irons, specifically the 8 iron through Pitching Wedge, which maintain ideal trajectory through a heavily tapered blade.
