Technology / Specs
Wilson engineers took input from their Tour players and designed the Wilson Staff Women's D7 fairway wood to give effortless power and distance. Read what they came up with here.
Carpenter Custom 455 Face
To ramp up ball speed, Wilson uses a Carpenter Custom 455 stainless steel face. This maraging steel is strong, allowing it to be made thin. Maraging steels are made to flex more at impact, creating higher ball speed and distance with every shot.
The thinness of the steel saves weight, moving those grams around the club head to increase forgiveness and optimize launch conditions.
Superlight Design
Wilson Staff D7 Women's fairway woods, like the D7 drivers, have an superlight design. Besides the savings from the face, mentioned above, Wilson shaves weight from the crown, shaft, and grip. Like the driver, the stock shaft in the fairway wood is the UST Mamiya Helium series and stock grip is the Wilson Staff MicroLite Lamkin grip.
New Crown Construction
The crown of the Women's D7 fairway wood is made with a group of thin, cast pockets. The pockets give the crown strength and stability while saving 5 grams of weight.
Available Options
Women's D7 fairway woods come in 3 loft options; 15, 18, and 21 degrees. Left hand options are 15 and 18 degrees of loft.
