    Description

The TaylorMade M4 driver combines Twist Face technology with a new Hammerhead Slot and Geocoustic sole design for straight distance and a large sweet spot. Twist Face is engineered to reduce side spin and deliver straighter shots as well as provide more loft in the high-toe and less loft in the low-heel to produce more consistent spin where golfers commonly miss-hit. The Hammerhead Slot provides a larger sweet spot and increased ball speed low on the face and drops unwanted spin for more distance. Geocoustic technology reduces sole volume and enables a larger, more forgiving face.

    Q
Interested in the new M3 or M4 drivers but don't know which one would be best for just an average player. 24HDCP.??
asked by Mia H. on 2/9/2018
    A
The M4 would most likely be the better choice as it is geared more for forgiveness and distance while the M3 is geared more toward being able to adjust ball flight by moving weights.

Was a little skeptical at first of the twist face and thinking may be it was a marketing grab but I will say this is the best driver I have ever played. Took me a round or two to really get used to but the control and distance are fantastic. Excellent sound off the face and you can work the ball well. It’s pricy but 100% worth the money. LOVE this driver

A larger sweet spot allows you to swing freer and further! A must in any bag.

The U-Try program is amazing. It's like having Netflix back when we got DVDs in the mail. 2 weeks is plenty of time to decide if the club is right for you. I play 2-4 rounds a week with a mid 80s average. I plan on taking full advantage of this program.

Been out once with a used M4. Flies great and long. Just a little different setup at address than I was used to. Not sure if due to twist face. First few shots were straight but left. Slightly opening the face got them going more down the center.

    Driver is insane

Got the M4 s/flex, atmos fujikura red 5 shaft, in very good condition. Looked new with the tiniest blemish on carbon fiber top. After about 200 balls at range and 1 1/2 rounds I finally started getting it. I used to drive 230 on a great drive, once I figured it out 2day,i hit 250,252,263,275 on last 4 holes to use driver and in middle fairway and the 275 had 15mph winds in my face a little mostly left to right.
Amazing driver, but the quality of "very good" is way better then it sounded. Great job global golf. I will be doing more business with you.

    Great Club!

Have been playing the 2017 M2, just switched to M4. This driver is incredible. My bad shots are not as bad and my hood shots go mile. Although there's is a one degree increase of loft on the M4, but the yardage I gained is way more than one decree of loft could produce.

The difference between this driver and my last TaylorMade is night and day. The ball takes off like a rocket and if you missed the sweet spot, you still get very good distance. Go buy this driver

Took almost three weeks to receive my club. No correspondence from 3balls. No issues with the club or price, just the CS. And please don’t blame the virus. My lord we can’t blame the virus for everything.

    Technology / Specs

Here are the 3 main features of the TaylorMade M4 driver.

    Twist Face

Twist Face is a revolutionary technology aimed at accuracy. After analyzing 500,000+ shots, TaylorMade engineers found the most common misses when hittinga driver were high-toe and low-heel. To fix this, the engineers literally twisted the club face.

The high-toe section is opened 0.5 degrees and adds 1 degree of loft to help correct a low, duck-hook shot that results from impact in that area. Conversely, the low-heel sectionn is closed 0.5 degrees and delofted 1 degree to correct that mishit.

    Hammerhead Technology

Hammerhead technology creates more ball speed and a larger sweet spot. The wide channel on the sole flexes at impact, producing more ball speed across a larger portion of the club face.

The 2 (nearly) perpendicualr bars inside the channel create stability, allowing designers to make the club face thinner overall. This thin club face also helps produce more ball speed across the clubface.

Together, these features of Hammerhead technology make the sweet spot bigger!

    Geocoustic Technology

Geocoustic technology is also on the sole of the club. It helps give the M4 a solid sound and feel as well as more forgiveness.

Differing from previous versions, this Geocoustic area has more material taken out. The weight saved is repositioned around the rest of the clubhead for more forgiveness. According to TaylorMade, the sweet spot is 67% larger thanks to the new design.
