Description

The Callaway Great Big Bertha Epic Sub Zero driver represents a true paradigm shift towards a low-spinning driver that is also forgiving. The high-speed/low-spin combination that many tour players seek come from Callaway’s innovative Jailbreak Technology, which positions two ultra-light titanium bars behind the face to promote faster ball speeds over the entire club face. It’s forgiveness is thanks to a multi-material construction that combines a titanium Exo-Cage with triaxial carbon crown and sole panels for a lightweight club head that accounts for 50% of the head’s surface. The Epic Sub Zero’s unique club head design places the CG low and deep in the club head to promote high launch and low spin.

Condition Description

Clubs in Very Good Condition have been played with and cared for in an appropriate fashion. The markings that you will likely find on Very Good Condition products will show typical wear of models of its age. Q
What is the difference between the two epic drivers one being the sub zero version?
asked by Luis O. on 6/13/2017
A
The Callaway Epic Sub Zero Driver would be more of a low-spinning, higher launch driver compared to that of the Epic. The Sub Zero has two interchangeable weights to adjust the spin-rat and launch angle.

Found my used driver in the for sale, used, excellent category. I love my purchase. I was **** for the club then found it online. This has been a game changer for my game. I took a chance with the used category by the club came just as promised. Excellent Condition. Priced at a reasonable price. Thanks GG

What can I say about this driver that hasn't already been Said? It's outstanding super light and easy to swing. I love the adjustability of the driver and loved the price from global golf.. I don't think the condition of the drive was as bad as they said you could tell it was used but it wasn't beat up at all and paying half price was nice . I have and will order more used clubs from them.

Feels great and unlike any other driver with its Jail Break Technology. Do not need to swing hard to get great power and distance.

Find a way to afford this driver

I was just at a local golf store and they just received several demo Callaway Big Bertha Epic woods. I currently hit the XR Pro driver set at 9 degree, Standard, Stiff shaft. My normal distance is about 270ish with the XR Pro. I hit the Big Bertha Epic Sub Zero driver in their simulation booth….. Stiff, 10.5 degree, Standard. The numbers were excellent. The distance on the Sub Zero in the sim booth was averaging 285ish. I flushed one of the drives and total distance was 293. One of the best feeling drivers I’ve hit in quite some time. I’m gonna look to see what I can trade in to get this driver when they go on sale. Absolutely amazing.

A step above the rest

By far the best driver I've ever tried. Effortless distance, even on mishits. I swear this driver has auto-correct or something because it's hard to miss the fairway. Spin rate is about the same for me with the heavy weight placed in the back, which provides a larger sweet spot too. I would recommend this driver to anyone looking for the best.

The Epic Sub Zero is a great driver. From the first game I used it I am hitting balls further than I ever have. It is also very easy to adjust.

I'm back baby. Long and strong. This driver lives up to all the hype. Turned my long game into what I thought had left me at 63.

Good feel but I need a driver that increases the spin. My buddy who is better, really liked the sub zero aspect and weighting.

Technology / Specs

The GBB Epic Sub Zero driver shares the “Jailbreak” technology with the GBB Epic driver. The 2 bars behind the face transfer at impact to the golf ball instead of losing energy when the crown flexes. The energy gives more ball speed and distance.

Two weights in the sole, 12 grams and 2 grams, can be interchanged to change the trajectory of the golf ball. Placing the 12-gram weight in the rear position will raise the launch and spin. Putting the 12-gram weight forward lowers launch and spin.

The GBB Epic Sub Zero driver also benefits from the exo-cage construction and triaxial carbon sole. These technologies combine to raise MOI and forgiveness.

The GBB Epic Sub Zero driver comes stock with either an Aldila Rogue Max, Fujikura Pro, or Project X HZRDUS shaft. Each shaft has multiple weight classes. Additional premium shafts are available for custom order at no upcharge.
