Description

The Titleist 917D2 driver features technology that maximizes distance, forgiveness, and precise customization for every player. The driver’s SureFit CG allows the center of gravity of the club head to be adjusted from heel to toe with interchangeable weights. With these weights, spin and launch conditions can be dialed in for the ultimate customization. The Active Recoil Channel 2.0 has been improved to flex more at impact in order to reduce spin and increase ball speed. Additionally, the driver features the Radial Speed Face 2.0, which gives off-center shots greater distance. The forgiving 917D2 has a 460cc full pear profile and delivers a slightly higher launch angle and spin rate than the 440cc 917D3 Driver.

Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Very Good Condition: Normal ball marks and scratching on the face; normal scratching on the sole; minor dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; very light scratches, paint chips, paint blemishes on or around the crown.

This club was listed as being in excellent condition and it far exceeds that.It still had the plastic protection tape found on brand new clubs, never been hit.I always have great experiences when dealing with Global Golf, and this was exceptional.

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

I am happy to be the first to offer a review of this GREAT new product from Titleist. It does really live up to the hype. I found 8-10 yards on my first drive and seemingly more as the round progress. On the 18th hole, the added difference was almost 20 yards, and this is over my 915D2. This is right out of the box with no "fine tuning". My playing partners wanted to try it, and also hit it longer than w/their drivers. GREAT job Titleist.

The Titleist 917 D2 Driver

The Titleist 917 D2 driver has an updated version of its Active Recoil Channel (ARC). An ARC is a wide, deep channel on the sole of the club that flexes at impact, creating ball speed and distance. The ARC 2.0 is thinner on the heel and toe regions compared to the previous model. This gives more ball speed across the face of the driver.

In tune with the ARC 2.0 is the Radial Speed Face 2.0. It is thinner on the perimeter of the club face to increase ball speed and distance on off-center hits.

For the first time, Titleist put a SureFit CG weight system on the sole of the 917 D2 driver. The unique system allows adjustments to be made affecting shot shaping and spin control. The weight adjusts for a draw, fade, and high or low ball flight.
