Description

The Mizuno JPX 900 Forged iron set is designed to take players to the next level with increased distance and forgiveness with all of the technology that it offers. First, the club head is thin and delivers distance because of the Grain Flow Forged 1025 Boron composition. Next, Mizuno’s Power Frame Technology distributes weight into the corners of the club, allowing maximum forgiveness on the occasional poor shot. Finally, the JPX 900 Forged irons are equipped with a reengineered CNC Milled Pocket that gives these clubs a high launch angle for players to attack the pin.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

Wonderful, Intermediate Level Irons

Handicap: 21+  Plays Golf: I play monthly  Dexterity: Right Hand

As an intermediate level player, I've found the JPX 900 forged irons to be one of the best iron sets for my game. I use KBS Tour C-Taper Lite shafts on mine, and it gives the sense of more heft at the clubhead, which may not be for everyone, but also drops a few ounces off the overweight.

I personally think that the Taylormade Psi's might have a more "dampened" feel to them on impact, which I also liked, but there was no comparison on the control and distance I got from the Mizunos.

The MMC's and JPX 900 Hot Metals were also heavy contenders for me, but the Forged irons just really spoke to me the best. And they really are beautiful heads too!

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

Ive only played mizuno irons for the last 25 years but these are the first "players" irons Ive had.THere was a learning curve coming from the jpx-ezs but after a month ,wow!Good swings are rewarded and not so good ones are bareable The lack of generous offset took some time but my scores are dropping. Advice? sell your old clubs as to get rid of the temptations to go back. lol

Great Sticks

The Mizuno JPX 900 Forged are a really nice combination of forgiveness and feel. I had been playing Bridgestone J 15 CBs. In my opinion, the JPX do not feel as sweet as the J 15's, but they are more forgiving on off-center strikes while retaining soft feel, distance and accuracy.

There is also the added benefit of coming with really quality stock shaft options. At Global Golf, the set (4-G) were being offered at a very nice price!

First experience on Global Golf was great!

This was the first time I've bought anything off of this website so I was a little skeptical when I saw these irons for $200 off, priced at $600 for the 4-AW set brand new. However, I couldn't have been more impressed. Irons were still in wrapper, in the box, and even shipped in only 4 days instead of the standard 7-13 business days or whatever.

As for the irons, these are my first set of Mizuno irons. They're beautiful! I've only played with them three times so far but they are buttery smooth and mostly lofted lower than my previous irons (Callaway Razr X MB). A lot of professional reviews I saw on this set say they hit these super low, but I'm not experiencing that. A perfect buy so far!

Technology / Specs

The Mizuno JPX 900 Forged iron set is grain flow forged using 1025 Boron. Boron is stronger, thinner, and hotter than the 1025E carbon steel used in the JPX 850 Forged irons. This material allowed Mizuno to move the saved weight around the head to increase forgiveness.

The Mizuno JPX 900 Forged iron set has a new COR Tech Design. The design utilizes a multi-thickness face to increase ball speed on shots hit in the center or off center.

There is a reshaped pocket cavity on the JPX 900 Forged iron set as well. The thinnest areas on the heel and toe of the sole are extended to increase ball speed across the face. Almost 22 grams are redistributed to the Power Frame for stability and forgiveness.
