The TaylorMade M2 Tour iron set features materials and technologies that combine metalwood like launch conditions with class leading shot height for maximum distance. The large, unsupported, thin face and new Speed Pocket allow ball speeds that push the limits of distance performance in an iron. Shaped with a modern profile and minimum offset, each iron features a compact design with powerful performance. The M2 Tour irons also feature a light, but stiff 3D badge design that dampens vibration to help produce and maintain exceptional sound and feel.

I have read that the M2 irons are not as good for shaping shots than the RSi clubs. How would you compare them?
asked by Scott Stevens S. on 12/7/2016
The M2 iron is designed primarily for straight, long shots and forgiveness so is not as conducive to shaping shots as the RSI irons were. If you are looking for a club designed more for shaping shots and controls, I would suggest looking at the PSI Tour irons.

what model year are these?
asked by Rodney R. on 12/30/2016
This is the 2016 model. The 2017 version has not been released yet. Please follow the link below for more information.

Playing a set of Ping i15 looking for a little more distance with my irons.64 years old playing with a 9 handicap
asked by Jack C. on 1/24/2017
The M2 has been highly touted as a distance club and very well could provide you with the distance you are looking for. The important thing is to get the correct shaft flex.

are these forged or cast -- can they be bent?
asked by Joe V. on 3/19/2017
These are a cast club. I would suggest checking with a local shop in regards to bending as that will vary based on the person doing it as to how far they are willing to bend them.

Great for distance, ok for all else....

I traded in an older set of Rocketblaze. I thought these would be on par with what those clubs delivered, but have been a bit disappointed with the feel they deliver. I hit them a lot further, but don't know how much of that is attributed to the loft changes (most are several degrees stronger than my previous ones). I've played several rounds with them and the heads just feel real heavy, like swinging a shovel at times!. Will looking into the PSi line in the near future I'm sure.

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

I just got these irons (4-A, Stiff) as a Christmas gift and I have to say I am very delighted. These were a replacement for my 09 Burner irons (which I loved, but were getting old). The M2 Tours fly higher and a little longer than my 09 Burners. It was very easy to keep the ball on line with wonderful feel and sound when struck in the right spot. Off center hits still were OK with great feedback. I ranged them on a monitor and mine gapped on avg 15 yds per club with the Gap at 100yds and the four iron going 210 with a swing speed avg of 87mph. Can't wait to get back on the course this weekend (San Diego).

good irons. personally prefer the srixon z745 irons. think these are a step down by taylormade. worth just paying a little more for the psi range.

The TaylorMade M2 Tour Iron Set

The TaylorMade M2 Tour Irons are preprogrammed to kick the ball into the air. A 360° undercut cavity and fluted hosel save weight, which reposition the center of gravity low and deep in the club head. Since the cavity increases the unsupported area and saves weight from the top of the head, the end result is a boost to launch, fast ball speeds, and additional forgiveness.

Mass is typically trapped in the hosel of most irons. The M2 irons utiliize a thick-thin fluted hosel which saves 3 grams of discretionary weight. Removing the weight redistributes it lower and deeper in the club head for improved feel.

The M2 irons use a Speed Pocket which is a urethane-filled slot in the sole of the 3-7 irons. Known as its "Blind Version," the Speed Pocket allows the entire face to flex more effectively at impact. This flexibility increases launch angle and ball speed while providing added forgiveness for shots struck low on the face.

A Thin-Face with Inverted Cone Technology design improve distance consistency by thickening the center of the club face. This means you can hit the ball poorly and still play well enough to bash the ball straight ahead.

V-shaped struts stiffen the hitting area without inhibiting ball speed. The support beams improve the sound quality and dampen unwanted vibrations for superior feel.
