Description

The Callaway XR 16 driver was redesigned to feature a more forgiving shape and advanced aerodynamics from working with experts at Boeing. The re-engineered head shape and Speed Step Crown design saves weight and increases both head speed with less drag and ball speed for added distance. With a larger shape for MOI and a Center of Gravity that is lower and deeper, the XR 16 also offers extreme forgiveness with more ball speeds at every impact location. The XR 16 also features the next generation R*MOTO Face Technology that is 9 grams lighter and thinner than the previous design and has an even stronger 8-1-1 titanium face. This new technology leads to a faster face, more forgiveness and faster ball speeds whether you hit it in the center of the face, off the heel or off the toe.

Technology / Specs

The Callaway XR 16 Driver has a high head speed design with low drag. A re-engineered Speed Step saves weight and adds more speed, making the driver fiercely aerodynamic. The driver is defined by its larger head shape which offers more MOI and forgiveness. Factor in its low and deep CG and bigger footprint and you get a driver with extreme forgiveness.

A Next Generation R•MOTO Face is 19% thinner than previous incarnations of the driver. The body is lighter too, which leads to more ball speed across the face. Weight is redistributed in the clubhead for even more MOI. A player will pick up a lot of ball speed even if the ball is hit dead center, off the heel or off of the toe.
