Description

The Titleist AP1 716 irons are designed with tour proven technology, appeal to a wide range of golfers and are the most playable and forgiving iron that Titleist produces. They feature maximum distance from the 360° undercut cavity which creates a thin, fast face for an increase in both speed and launch. The high density tungsten weighting plays a dual role in the AP1 716 by offering maximum forgiveness and even more distance. The use of the tungsten moves weight to the perimeter increasing MOI for speed on off center hits offering more forgiveness. It creates more distance by lowering the CG and allowing for stronger lofts to create even more speed and distance. The Titleist AP1 716 irons are the longest and most forgiving Titleist iron ever.

Condition Description

Q
Can I get these 2 degrees flat?
asked by Dean P. on 11/6/2015
A
This iron set is available for order through our custom club section with specific lie angle requests, as well as length, shaft, etc. With used sets, we do not perform lie angle adjustments in house, but this can performed after purchase by a reputable, certified club repair shop.

Q
Please verify length. Looks like they are +1.00 at 38.5. Thanks.
asked by David L. on 6/16/2016
A
Thank you for reaching out to us and alerting to this issue. We will have these clubs re-measured to determine proper length. If 38.5, then it would be +1, or it may have been entry error for standard.

Q
Did this mint set of used Titleist AP1 716 irons turn out to be +1 lie or are they standard lie?
asked by Dan C. on 9/21/2016
A
The lie angle of the clubs will be described in the description. It will either say standard lie or will show the deviation such as +1 degree for 1 degree upright.

Like to see pictures of glubs to see what they look like and what you call value conditions!
asked by Steven J. on 11/28/2016
A
Unfortunately, due to multiple shipping locations and the size of our inventory, we are unable to provide pictures of a specific set. More information regarding condition ratings including pictures can be found here: https://www.globalgolf.com/about/club-rating/

Q
are serial # listed on each iron
asked by Terry K. on 2/25/2017
A
Typically, with iron sets, manufacturers will only list the serial number on one iron and not every club. If the set was a custom order, sometimes the serial number will be listed on every club. Finally, there are cases where a set was not originally produced for retail which will not have a serial number at all as it was originally a demo set or something to that effect. As an authorized Titleist dealer, we do guarantee all product to be authentic Titleist equipment and would be happy to help you should you have concerns about a set received.

Q
What is the difference between Titleist Ap1 andAp2?
asked by Ron C. on 7/16/2017
A
The AP1 is the more forgiving of the two and will provide a higher launch and more forgiveness. The AP2 is forged and focuses more on feel and control.

Hitting these pretty well off the rack. May get a fitting adjustment made in the next week or so to see what looks like. I like the looks of these sticks. Forgiving for my less than stellar skills.

Recently bought the 716 AP1 iron set 4-PW, W got my set in very good condition was surprised at how brand new they looked. But one problem they 6 iron was A 714 model and longer than the 4 iron in my new set. Also m2 hybrid the shaft was crushed but that's different story for a different day.

Nice deal!
By Noel G. on 5/30/2017
1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

The irons are wonderful. I have found that I hit them on a nice trajectory and they are very straight hitters. I've always played a natural draw with my Nike irons but found these are dead on accurate. It's actually an adjustment but a nice one to make. Global golf is wonderful, quick, and inexpensive. I encourage you to look for add on discounts because you can end up with a very reasonable set of clubs.

The Titleist 716 AP1 Irons

The Titleist 716 AP1 iron is the longest and most forgiving iron in the entire 716 family. It’s the perfect club if you’re seeking the maximum amount of distance and forgiveness. The distance comes from an undercut cavity that spans the entirety of the golf club. It creates a large, thin and unsupported club face which will increase ball speeds and increase launch angles, both crucial elements for superior distance. There’s also a tungsten weight located in the toe of the iron to lower the center of gravity, creating even more speed and distance. By moving a majority of the weight to the toe with the tungsten, it creates a very forgiving club head.

The Titleist 716 AP1 irons are available in three through pitching wedge, W, and W2. The 716 AP1 irons have three different shaft options, the True Temper XP90 is the stock steel shaft while the MRC KuroKage 65 and 50 are the stock graphite shaft options.
