The Big Bertha Alpha 816 Fairway Wood is a high performance club designed for the low-handicap, more advanced golfer. This club targets golfers who want high-flying balls at the maximum amount of distance and the ability to adjust the center of gravity.

A Forged Hyper Speed Cup allows players to get the most out of their swing speed. Light and thin, balls fly fast off the clubface. Also, the face flexes more, especially on mis-hits.

The fairway wood uses a pair of adjustable sole weights to change the center of gravity location and ball flight. A 16-gram weight can be installed in the front of the club for a trajectory perfect for players who swing fast and need to cut down on spin. When the 3-gram weight is installed on the front with the heavier weight in the back, the club becomes more forgiving on mis-hits and launches the ball higher. The interchangeable weights suit two types of golfers: a player who requires long distance and low spin or someone who needs a more playable club off the tee and from the fairway.

The OptiFit Hosel consists of two cogs. An upper and lower cog rotate independently to provide 8 different loft and lie possibilities. The loft options are 14 degrees, 16 degrees and 18 degrees. And the OptiFit technology allows you to decrease by 1 degree or increase by 2 degrees.
