Description

The Callaway Great Big Bertha is back, and it features a whole new level of fairway wood technology. This is Callaway's fastest fairway wood with the Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup, and it's built to provide extra forgiveness and control. Ball speeds are fast on both on center and off center hits and it features a larger head with a Modern Warbird Sole. The Great Big Bertha also has OptiFit adjustability so you can tune the club to your liking. The 7 wood and Divine Nine come with fixed loft and aren't adjustable.

Condition Description

The name says it all!

So far i love this club. I’ve been out three times since purchasing and so far I’m really impressed. Club looked like new with a few scratches on the bottom. I think I’m going to get a new grip in the winter. ??

For a value club it was in great shape. Increasing the loft and setting it for draw has made a big difference.

I ordered this club in very good condition and it certainly was. Only a minor scuff or two. Now if I could just hit the ball better!

The Callaway Great Big Bertha Fairway Wood

The Big Bertha Alpha 816 Fairway Wood is a high performance club designed for the low-handicap, more advanced golfer. This club targets golfers who want high-flying balls at the maximum amount of distance and the ability to adjust the center of gravity.

A Forged Hyper Speed Cup allows players to get the most out of their swing speed. Light and thin, balls fly fast off the clubface. Also, the face flexes more, especially on mis-hits.

The fairway wood uses a pair of adjustable sole weights to change the center of gravity location and ball flight. A 16-gram weight can be installed in the front of the club for a trajectory perfect for players who swing fast and need to cut down on spin. When the 3-gram weight is installed on the front with the heavier weight in the back, the club becomes more forgiving on mis-hits and launches the ball higher. The interchangeable weights suit two types of golfers: a player who requires long distance and low spin or someone who needs a more playable club off the tee and from the fairway.

The OptiFit Hosel consists of two cogs. An upper and lower cog rotate independently to provide 8 different loft and lie possibilities. The loft options are 14 degrees, 16 degrees and 18 degrees. And the OptiFit technology allows you to decrease by 1 degree or increase by 2 degrees.

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
