Can’t believe it

I just got the BBFusion fairway woods eight the Recoil (S) and love them. I could carry the 5W nearly 200-yds and the 3W just over that (on the tee) on the fairway about 15-yds less. However these B.B. Alpha 816 are awesome too! I hit these further maybe 10-yds but the ball flight is lower and rolls after the carry. The smaller head feels nice on the fairway and I feel I can square off at the ball with a solid hit.

Better Players Club

If I had it to do over I may have bought an easier to hit club. Even as a lifetime single digit player at 67 I find this club somewhat difficult to hit consistently. Possibly a lighter shaft will help. Probably a good club but a bad choice for me.

Just awesome

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play monthly  Dexterity: Right Hand

I just finished playing my first round with this stud of a club. This is my first adjustable 3wood and once I dialed in the settings it was awesome. Callaway woods have always been a match for me but for some reason I think this one will in my bag for years to come. The ball flight is perfect and will cut through the wind like a butter knife on a windy day. With no wind it's extremely long and for me I can use it as a replacement for my driver. Callaway you did it again!

I really like the smaller profile of this 4 wood, easy to pick the ball from the fairway.

Callaway Alpha is a vey nice club. If you hit this real good it flies like a driver. The Small head is really nice for control. Has a a great flight and it seems to land super soft, if you hit the ball high like myself. I think in a year this will be top 3 clubs in the bag.

Technology / Specs

The Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816 Fairway

The Alpha 816 Fairway is the latest fairway wood with two enlarged screws on the bottom to deliver more stability. The Cup Face, forged composite crown and adjustable hosel are engineered to give Tour player-like high performance.

Cup Face technology improves the amount of face flexing for higher ball speed on off-center hits. The face flexes inward to achieve better distance, performance, and feel.

The two weights on the sole are spread far apart giving a player the option of a back or forward center of gravity location. Shifting a 16-gram heavy weight back and a 3-gram light weight forward gives players lower spin. Switching the weights in the opposite position creates more forgiveness and higher launch.

Tune the fairway with an 8-way OptiFit adjustable hosel. Add loft, take loft off or adjust the lie angle to customize your swing. The modern shaping provides more MOI and control from a variety of lies. A rounded shape allows the fairway wood to be played from almost any lie you encounter out on the course.
