Q
What is Opti-Fit adjustability?
asked by David L. on 11/6/2015
A
Opti-Fit refers to the hosel adjustment with current Callaway products. The Opti-Fit hosel allows you to adjust a standard loft down by 1 degree, or up by 1 or 2 degrees. It also has a feature for neutral or draw bias.

Not what I expected

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

Very difficult adjustments and didn't do any better than my current Wilson Staff FG Tour F5 Driver. As a matter of fact, my F5 beat it to death in distance. I wouldn't recommend it. I returned it the day after it arrived.

Technology really hasn't taken us that far since this club was introduced. You can adjust pretty much everything. No need to get a new club to correct shot shape.

Unbelievable Price!
By Gary D. on 6/5/2017
1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

I got this club as an open box item and it was still shrink wrapped and came with the adjustment tool and head cover. It was a steal! Took it to the range and it is unbelievable how much further I can drive with this club over my previous driver. It is not as forgiving as other clubs but I was able to hit it straight and consistent after I got use to it. Can't wait to play a round with it.

The Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond Driver

The Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond driver is geared for the “players”. It’s not to be taken lightly, however, if you’re one of the bombers that stripe it off the tee this if for you. You’ll benefit from the Dual Distance Chambers that give you the extra distance you thought you’d never find.

Most of you are looking for a neutral of draw ball flight and want more control over you’re shot shaping abilities. Callaway has added a chamber to this year’s driver. So now you have the option of where you’d like the gravity core, right or left, and up or down. Set it and forget it because you’ll be bombing the ball with some of the fastest ball speeds on the market.

The driver also features a deeper face with a traditional shape. This design lowers the center of gravity, which reduces spin for added forgiveness. It’ll also have the 8-way adjustability of the OptiFit hosel to fine tune the loft and lie to your exact specifications.

The Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond driver is available in 9 and 10.5-degree loft options for both right and left-handers. It will also come with two different stock shaft options, the Aldila Rogue I/o and the Mitsubishi Diamana D+. Both shafts are built to handle the load that bombers seek in shaft stability.
