Description

With the XR Driver speed is everything, and it’s the driving force behind this new driver from Callaway. That means speed from a RMOTO face, speed from an aerodynamic crown and speed from max shaft load. If it increases speed, it’s in the XR driver and that’s why it’s Callaway’s fastest titanium driver ever.

Condition Description

Clubs in Very Good Condition have been played with and cared for in an appropriate fashion. The markings that you will likely find on Very Good Condition products will show typical wear of models of its age. All of the wear is purely cosmetic, and will not in any way affect the performance of the club. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Very Good Condition: Normal ball marks and scratching on the face; normal scratching on the sole; minor dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; very light scratches, paint chips, paint blemishes on or around the crown.

Q
Which Driver is better: Callaway's Big Bertha Alpha 815 & XR?
asked by Wilfred W. on 6/4/2016
A
Better would be a relative term as it is very subjective to your overall game. The XR would be considered a bit more forgiving and easier to hit. The 815 has more adjustment features to it in that you can move the center of gravity with the gravity core up or down to promote a higher or lower spin rate. Additionally, the 815 has moveable ports in the sole to promote either a neutral or more draw biased flight. So essentially, the XR is an easier club to hit for the average golfer as it is easier to swing and will launch higher on average, while the 815 will typically be aimed towards more consistent ball strikers who like to tinker with their equipment.

Q
Which Driver is a newer model: Callaway's Big Bertha Alpha 815 & XR?
asked by Wilfred W. on 6/4/2016
A
Essentially both were running with the same model year as the Alpha 815 was a Fall 2014 release and XR was early 2015.

The club is fine except the shaft is 2 inches shorter than normal. The description did not mention this important fact.

XR - Awesome!

I bought this driver with great expectations and Global Golf and XR did not dissapoint. This driver is light, which gives me great club head speed for more distance. New technology is great but for the price of this club (used) you can't beat it. I got the value and it hardly looked touched. Great product!

Best Driver I have ever owned
By vic m on 2/4/2017

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

The Callaway XR driver is by far the best driver I have ever owned. The distance is outstanding. The head stability is great. I was able to dial in the head loft exactly into my sweet zone with a few simple adjustments. I really enjoy the matte finish, no glare in the sun and outstanding contrast to the golf ball. The stock shaft is a custom made Project X LZ 50 Blue. All I can say is WOW!! the shaft and XR head have given me an additional 15 - 25 yards on my drives. This club has enabled me to drop about 6 - 10 strokes off my scores by getting me so much closer to the greens after my drives.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
