Description

The Nike Vapor Flex driver is a 420cc pear-shaped head and features the same three key technologies found in the other Vapor drivers: Nike’s new FlyBeam reinforced Covert Cavity Back design, a re-engineered Compression Channel and FlexLoft 2. The FlyBeam construction stiffens the Covert Cavity in the back of the club, while the Compression Channel, with variable compliance, accentuates the spring-like effect across the face. The FlexLoft 2 has a total of 30 different launch options. Each driver is adjustable in half degree increments from 8.5 degrees to 12.5 degrees. The Vapor Flex also features the newest Nike technology, FlexFlight. FlexFlight features a RZN tube with a high-density weight on one end, called the FlightPod. With FlexFlight, golfers can manipulate the center of gravity from low and forward to low and back by adjusting the pod in quarter turns with the same wrench used to operate the FlexLoft 2.

Features

  • FlyBeam Structure, Compression Channel and NexCOR face combine to stabilize the chassis and maximize ball speed
  • Covert Cavity Back design redistributes weight towards the heel and toe to maximize forgiveness
  • FlexLoft 2 technology offers 30 different launch options

Q
How duz the **** on the bottom work
asked by Eddie T. on 7/16/2016
A
If you are referring to the Flex Flight, it is a pod weight on the bottom that allows you to adjust your center of gravity from low and forward to low and back by simply turning the pod in quarter turns. This will help control launch trajectory and spin rates desired.

The Vapor Flex that is the previous generation is 420cc, which is the one you are inquiring about. The newer version Vapor Flex is 440cc.

Technology / Specs

The Nike Vapor Flex driver is for a skilled golfer looking for a pear-shaped design and ultimate playability. The FlexFlight technology embedded in a carbon enhanced RZN Cavity shifts the center of gravity from low and forward to low and back for fine tuning the launch. The FlyBeam structure, Compression Channel and NexCOR face all combine to stabilize the clubhead at impact and maximize ball speeds. The Covert Cavity Back design repositions weight towards the heel and toe to enhance the forgiveness of the driver. The combination of FlexLoft 2 and FlexFlight technologies allow for thirty different launch options.

The Nike Vapor Flex driver will come with the Mitsubishi Diamana S+ Blue Board shaft that’s available in regular, stiff, and extra stiff flexes to suit all golfers. This shaft is one of the most popular on the PGA Tour and is one of the most played shafts year in and year out.
