The TaylorMade R15 Driver is TaylorMade’s most technologically advanced driver ever. 15 years of their groundbreaking metal woods technologies from the #1 driver in golf have been fused with brand new innovations into a single, game-changing design. The new Front Track system, which now includes split sliding weights, performs like a Speed Pocket, reduces spin and increases the size of the sweet spot. R15’s Center of Gravity has been moved even lower and more forward to promote a higher launch and lower spin to increase distance. This driver is finished in a satin white paint.

Difference between Fujikura speeder 57 graphite, from the 67 fujikura
asked by David R. on 11/11/2015
The Speeder 57 Evolution is a lighter shaft than the Speeder 67 Evolution (around 8-10 grams depending on flex) and will produce a higher launch and more spin than the 67. The 67 Evolution will be for the faster swing speed player as it will have a slightly higher kick point and lower launch profile.

what is the difference between senior or regular shaft?
asked by RICHARD N. on 12/15/2015
A senior flex shaft will be more flexible compared to a regular flex. The senior flex is for someone with a slower swing speed that needs the extra flex to hit the ball farther. Generally speaking, a stiff flex is for someone with a swing speed between 85-95 mph, a regular flex is for someone with a swing speed between 75-85 mph, and a senior flex is for someone with a swing speed under 75 mph.

Would a stiffer shaft affect my ability to draw the ball?
asked by Zachary G. on 4/9/2016
If you have a shaft that is too stiff for you, it could certainly affect the way you control your ball flight. Typically, a shaft that is too stiff will lead to a lot of shots pushed or to the right of your target line.

Do you need to "loft up" with this club as was needed on the SLDR?
asked by Dallas R. on 5/15/2016
The front track system of the R-15 was moved closer to the club face and also more mass was moved lower in the head than the SLDR to produce a higher launch than the SLDR. With the SLDR, the recommended loft up was around 1-2 degrees depending on the player. Because of the repositioning of weight, it has reduced the need to go to such loft up extremes, but you may still see a need to go up slightly around .5-1 degrees.

Several specialists say that a driver stiff will be for speed of 95 mph and more, What is the true?
asked by Yves P. on 7/25/2016
Yes, that is a general rule considering a swing-speed of 95 mph.

can a 12 degree Taylor Made R15 be lowered to 11 degrees?
asked by Leonard D. on 11/25/2016
Yes, the R15 can be adjusted 2 degrees in each direction in half degree increments from the loft that is stated on the head.

Whats the difference between the R15 430 and just the R15 thank you
asked by Brian P. on 12/20/2016
The main difference is the fact that the 430 is 430 cc size while the R15 is 460cc size. The 430 will give slightly lower flight and be slightly less forgiving. Typically preferred by better players.

Not as good as previous experiences
By Andrew R. on 7/14/2017

Ordered a value club expecting it to be fairly used. Worse than previous value clubs purchased before. Should have been noted that this club was HEAVILY USED. Not what I would even consider a value club. As far as the driver it hits excellent. Long and high. The adjustability is nice to help correct a very slight slice.

Great for anyone that hits a real high fade. Will clean it up and the ability to split the weights adds forgiveness

R15 Driver

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

By the time the club reached me it was NZD305 which included freight. This was more than I was accustomed to paying but for this club it really was worth it. The club arrived in precisely the condition they said it was - very good - and it arrived in provincial New Zealand in 7 days - brilliant.

I am now driving some 210 metres of carry and that in cold damp conditions so expect more in summer. This is around 25 metres further than with my Callaway Razr X Black driver.

I can both draw and fade now in a controlled way and my accuracy is now more or less where I want it.

I am delighted with this club and at 76 years old I am thrilled to be driving this far - so, yes, I'm VERY happy with my purchase - thank you Global Golf.

Want thank all those before me who wrote a review. After reading all the reviews I said to myself all these players can't be wrong in their assessment, and you weren't.
"Seriously"! Is what my partners ask. I average approx 235 off the tee but with this club this Friday I was bombing an average of 264 with one shot 276. Never ever before and I haven't yet got the right adjustment yet. Got to go driving range but too eager to play??. Well worth the buy. By the way, I bought used rated very good. Looks new.

The R15 driver has added 10-12 yards to my drive. I feel like I am constantly hitting my scoring irons into greens! Great product at a great price!

The TaylorMade R15 Driver

The TaylorMade R15 driver is made of greatness. The driver is a breath of fresh air with the return of the white crown and the addition of two weights to the Fast Track. It's bound to launch the season off on the right the foot with maximum distance and forgiveness.

This driver has a multitude of technologies packed into a small space. The R15 driver has two 12.5 gram weights that can slide along the Front Track. These weights allow you to control the shot shape and increase stability on off-center hits. The Front Track is a larger version of TaylorMade's Speed Pocket, which will expand the sweet spot and decrease spin to equate to longer and straighter shots. With 25 grams of weight positioned low and forward in the clubhead design, the center of gravity (CG) will promote high launching and low spinning characteristics. TaylorMade also incorporated their Loft Sleeve adjustability that can be adjusted to 12 different positions and can adjust the loft up to 4 degrees.

The TaylorMade R15 driver is available in 9.5, 10.5, 12, and 14 degrees of loft. The Fujikura Speeder 757 Evolution will come as the stock shaft to the driver. This shaft is built with stronger materials in key areas of the shaft the produce more speed. By enhancing the speed of the shaft, the club's performance is maximized. The TaylorMade R15 will also be available in a black finish or a TP version, featuring a heavier shaft.
