The Taylormade SLDR iron features an improved Speed Pocket design with ThruSlot Technology which promotes fast speed and high launch across the face of the club. This improved cut through Speed Pocket technology is coupled with an ultra-thin face (1.5mm) and new deep under-cut design promoting consistently higher ball speeds and optimal trajectory in every shot. Each SLDR iron is individually engineered to maximize distance and to tighten the gap between your long irons and metal woods. In addition to the improved Speed Pocket in the mid and long irons, the redesigned cavity and badging provides remarkable feel in the short irons and the tour inspired wedges design have the ATV sole configuration. The combination of distance, performance and forgiveness is what you can expect from the game changing SLDR irons.

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

All of these work together to enhance the launch angle, forgiveness, and distance of shots, achieving ultimate playability in an iron.

TaylorMade is implementing a new and improved Speed Pocket with ThruSlot Technology to promote lightning-fast ball speeds with towering trajectory across the entire face of the iron delivering extreme forgiveness. The Ultra-Thin face flexes on contact with the golf ball for a trampoline effect, achieving the USGA limit on ball speeds. The SLDR irons also feature a complex vibration-dampening system that delivers the sound and feel that Tour professionals demand.

The SLDR iron has consistent loft gapping for precision and ultimate distance control throughout the entire set. The iron sets will be manufactured with the KBS Tour C-Taper 90 shaft.
