Technology / Specs

The SLDR S driver is exactly what you think it is; a powerful driver hurling the golf ball into orbit. The key to success with the SLDR S driver is lofting up. By choosing a higher loft than your normal driver, you’ll find that you can gain serious distance no matter what your swing speed is. Lofting up may sound counter-intuitive in regards to distance, but with the advanced technology packed into this driver it’s definitely the answer. Our advice: loft up and let the results speak for themselves.

TaylorMade is continuing to design drivers with a low and forward center of gravity (CG). This CG placement encourages a higher launching golf shot with low spin, delivering fast ball speeds and extremely long distance. They’ve also stuck with their easy to use SLDR sliding weight. This 20 gram weight can slide back and forth locking into 21 different positions, promoting up to 30 yards of shot shape.

The SLDR S driver is available in 10, 12, 14, and 16 degrees of loft. The shaft on the SLDR S driver is the Fujikura Speeder shaft with a length of 44.5 inches that’s a perfect blend of lightweight, great feel and playability. For those seeking the TP version, the shaft is a Fujikura Motore Speeder shaft.
