Description

The Titleist Vokey SM5 wedges designed by master craftsman Bob Vokey define the standard for wedge performance. Bob's extensive testing, both in the workshop and the with the world's best players, have resulted in wedges that produce superior spin and control thanks to the innovative Spin Milled technology and deeper TX3 grooves. Every Spin Milled 5 wedge is milled to the tightest tolerance and features a balanced and compact design with a shorter blade length and a rounder toe profile. With three distinct finish options and a larger number of conforming tour proven loft and bounce combinations, there are more ways to hit it close than ever before.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear.

Features

  • Titleist Spin Milled 5 (SM5) wedges are milled to the tightest tolerance and features a balanced and compact design with a shorter blade length and a rounder toe profile.
  • TX3 groove technology produces maximum spin with distance and trajectory control by channeling away grass and sand for improved contact between the ball and groove edge.
  • M - Grind offers a crescent sole with narrow forward bounce surface and moderate camber and benefits the slider/neutral swing types and performs well in firm/medium turf types.

Q
What is the difference between wedge flex shaft and regular shaft on volkey wedge
asked by Len B. on 3/24/2017
A
Wedge flex is in between regular and stiff. It will be slightly stiffer and heavier than the regular flex shaft. This is often preferred on wedges due to the fact that feel and control are more important than distance with wedge shots.

One of the best wedges I've ever played with

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: Hardly ever  Dexterity: Right Hand

The club came in excellent condition. Better condition than the demo club I bought right after purchasing this one.

Long story but left my newly bought wedge from global golf "S grind" on the 18th hole after using it only 2 rounds. So went to Roger Dunn and bought a demo version the next day "M grind."

Good: The price was much better on globalgolf than the demo version. About 30 dollars difference.

Bad but good: Sad that I lost the wedge but the M grind fits my game much better. It's so much easier to hit with an open club face and shape your shots.

Compared to every wedge I've tried, it doesn't come close to how amazing this wedge is. Don't usually have this high praise but if you don't have this club in your bag, what'd you waiting for?

The head shape of the SM5 wedge is an improvement from previous model. Very compact, but the higher toe actually makes it look larger, which I prefer. I have the M grind on 54 and 58, I love this wedges.

When i opened the package i was surprised to see the wedge was used on a cart path for yearly practice. When a club is advertised it should at the very LEAST be playable. This club is so chopped on the sole the bounce has changed. Looks like a dremel grinder was used. I thought your 28 pros were better than this.

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
