The Best of TaylorMade Comes Together
Technological Lineage
TaylorMade’s clubs have been popular with golfers worldwide because of their quality construction, innovative technology, and superior playability. The Burner 1.0 irons brought with them the proven, revolutionary Inverted Cone Technology (ICT). This optimized COR and forgiveness while eliminating vibrations with a dampening aluminum web. When added to TaylorMade’s already established quality construction, the Burner 1.0 irons quickly became a staple in golf bags everywhere. Golfers couldn’t ask for more.
Yet that’s exactly what TaylorMade gave them. The Tour Preferred irons introduced weight port technology for precisely located centers of gravity, resulting in consistent trajectory control. The progressive thicknesses of the toplines from short to long irons inspire more confidence.
Style and Design

Now TaylorMade proudly presents the R11 irons, which combine the high-performance features of the Tour Preferred and the Burner 1.0. These include:
- Strategically placed Precision Weighting Ports customized for each iron
- Ultra-thin clubfaces on the long and middle irons
- Progressively wider soles and toplines from the short to the long irons
- Advanced groove design
- Inverted Cone Technology

Each of these features improves your game in a specific way. The Precision Weighting Ports position the CG so that it’s not only low and deep, but it is kept in the center back of the clubface to give you more accurate and consistent shots.

The long and middle irons’ ultra-thin faces produce faster ball speeds across the entire face for additional distance. The long irons’ wide soles further deepen the CG for higher launches while the short irons’ narrower soles increase accuracy on tighter lies.

The grooves create more spin and more control on rougher lies. The irons also use Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips for incredible traction and feel under all conditions.
To quote TaylorMade project leader Gary Gallagher: “Looks, technology, and performance; the R11 iron is the complete package.” The advanced engineering and attractive style of the R11 iron series will make it a golf bag staple for years to come. It is truly the only iron worthy of the R11 name.
