Amazing Driver!

When I bought this driver I was completely amazed with its consistency, distance and workability. When I first hit it, I felt the ball jump off of the face of the club, which I had never felt with another driver before like I did this one. In fact I added 20-30 yards with this driver, which is very important to me since I am not the longest hitter in the world. Overall I would say that Taylormade has made another great driver!

Look Good in White!

When the R11 drivers first appeared I jokingly said to my wife that I am hitting my R9 driver so well that I can't imagine how well I would hit the new R11 driver. She replied that I wouldn't look good in all white and that I should stick to my R9. After a demo session with the R11, I decided that looks aren't everything. I have picked up twenty to twenty-five yards with the R11 and I thought I was "bombing" my R9. The new technologies from Taylormade are just as effective in controlling ball flight, if not more so in the R11. I am still able to totally dial out the occasional "duck-hook" that has plagued me most of my golfing life. The only negative I have experienced with the R11 is that there are a few holes at our club that I can no longer use a driver. The ball simply goes too far and into trouble. The R11 seems to be a little heavier than the R9, but this may not be all bad. Maybe this slows your swing a little and helps with tempo. All said, I am 60 years old and keeping up with the "kids" at our club once again. Great job Taylormade.

So far above the competition!!!!!!!

Money doesn't grow on the trees around my house so I almost didn't even hit this driver when I was trying to choose, now I'm just glad it's only $400.00 instead of 8 because Id still be getting one. I hit 5 different drivers tonight, Calloway's razr hawk, Nike vr, cleveland ultralight, taylor made super fast, and the r11. My opinion is that the super fast came in a distant 2nd. This driver is so far ahead of the comp. It's amazing, it was more accurate, and consistently 25 to 30 yards farther than than my best drives with the others. I hit appox 12 drives with it my shortest was 289 longest was 314, the longest drive I hit with any of the others was 277 and it was with the super fast. If u don't want to pay the price for this driver than u better not hit it, because if u do u will be buying one like me!!!!!!!!! I have always read the reviews on products before buying, but have never wrote one, but after hitting the r11 I had to write this review because I've never seen any type of product that was just that far ahead of the other top name brands.

R-11-The best new driver out there.
By Ron Hicks on 3/8/2011
35 out of 39 people found this review helpful.

I recently went to a demo day at a local driving range.I have lost a lot of distance the last few years and was interested in finding a little help in this area. I tried out drivers from every manufacturer that day. Without question, the R-11 was the most solid driver that I hit. I was hitting it longer than my current driver and what I really liked was it was getting more roll. And at 65 years old I can definetly use the extra roll. I purchased the R-11 and have used it 4 times now. I am hitting it just as good on the course as I did on the range. It was well worth the price. Just a fantastic club.

White is Hot!

I hit the new R11 at the PGA Show Demo Day in Orlando last week and it was everything you would expect from Taylor Made…SOLID! The new white paint scheme was really nice…the matte finish reduces glare, the color makes the head appear larger thus breeding confidence, and the contrast between the black face and white crown allow you to easily align this club. Also, the 3 types of adjustments you can make on the R11 (Flight Control, Moveable Weights, & Adjustable Sole Plate) really enables you to not only get a driver that looks great at address but is practically custom fit for your swing. You can't go wrong with this driver! Great job Taylor Made!
