Description

The TaylorMade R9 driver is virtually 24 drivers in one that features Flight Control Technology (FCT) and Movable Weight Technology (MWT) to create complete adjustability for maximum flight control and up to 75 yards of side-to-side adjustability. With FCT, the player may adjust the face angle, the lie angle and effective loft by simple shaft/head adjustments with 8 different clubhead positions to choose from. The MWT allows the player to change the center of gravity (CG) location to promote more accuracy and premium trajectories. It also features TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology which promotes faster ball speeds across the entire face for faster ball speeds and more distance. Its New Classic head shape combines classic and modern lines to create an aesthetically pleasing look from address. The TP model is the same head as the R9, but with upgraded shaft options.

Tp R9
By Connor on 3/8/2011

The Taylormade Tp R9 driver is one of the best drivers I have ever owned, because of it's moveable weight system and the new flight control technology also known as FCT which allows the player to change the angle, loft, and lie of the drivers head. The only con I would say there is about this club is it is not very forgiving if you hit it on the heel or toe. But other than that it's a great club!

this TM has consistently given me steady feel and solid contact with easy distance. I went back to this after buying a TM R15. Yes I said I went back to it and ditched the R15.

I love tinkering with golf clubs, so I do buy clubs in "Value Condition"
I usually tear them down, spine or replace the shaft and grip, to me it's fun. The R9 I bought was pretty rough, more so than the usual value club. So I was disappointed with this one. Still the pliability was there. So, 4 stars it is.

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
